This hotel is located on the north side of Lake Chuzenji. When I stayed there, there were only two other guests, so it was a very quiet environment. The hot springs were very relaxing and the food was delicious. The room was a typical ryokan room, so there were no problems. However, the bedding may seem a little cheap. Considering the accommodation costs, it was an overwhelmingly good experience.

It's about 10,000 yen per night and breakfast is included. It's cheap, but I was guided to the annex as mentioned in the guide, but during the hot August season, there was no air conditioner in the entire annex or in the room, and there were no screens on the windows. can't openImpossible! I'm grateful that they changed my room after telling me that, but I don't think they should open the business without an air conditioner.Needs improvement.I could see a herd of monkeys and deer from my room, and the indoor bath with sulfur springs was great.Old building. The staff, mainly foreign women, are very nice. But what if you meet a monkey when you walk outside from the annex to the main building's bath? Considering the air conditioner, if I can't confirm in advance that it's not an annex, I won't be able to stay there.

Overall it was a good experience: beautiful location, nice onsen, clean room, staff is very friendly. Everything is a bit old, but still we had a good time at the hotel. Please beware that it is remote from the restaurants in the neighbouring village (there is nothing around). For us it was fine to walk 20-30 minutes by the lakeside to get dinner.

I visited on April 11th, but I had to check out for personal reasons in a hurry. Although it was a short stay, I was impressed with the clean room and great location. The foreign female employee was very attentive and made me feel comfortable.I will definitely visit you again. This time I will take it easy.

As a picky eater the dinner was a bit much for me but WOW what a spread and SO much local food! The sweet lady on reception didn’t speak too much English but was very helpful. The hotel/rooms feel dated like it used to be a luxury place but now it’s more like a grandparents lodge. One light was broken and the mini fridge didn’t work. Still, a beautiful location on the lake surrounded by deer and an authentic floorbed experience (recommend doubling up on mattresses, as it wasn’t comfortable with just one.) Note: it is quite far (a lakeside walk/bus) from the main attractions, Kegon falls are the closest (25min walk).

I used it at a hot spring for a day trip, and the elderly man had no understanding of the customer service industry. We made eye contact when we arrived and when we left, but we didn't say a word. A woman of Middle Eastern descent was always there to help, but she was able to speak Japanese well enough to say hello and thank you.If foreigners can do it, why can't elderly Japanese men do it? ?I will never go there again!
