If you're looking for an authentic, super relaxing, luxury Japanese Onsen experience, book here. Private outdoor bath, tatami room/futon beds (which were very comfortable, and we have back issues,) unbelievable in-room traditional Japanese dinner served in courses, service was impeccable. Breakfast was also a combination of Japanese and American plates, served in courses, again, with 5 star service.Everyone is so kind and the staff can't do enough for you.The location is excellent.Walkable to the train station, and the main tourist road (10 min)There is a big Daiso grocery store less than a 5 min walk away.I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

One of the best ryokan I’ve ever been. The room is gorgeous and spacious, the multiple outdoor private onsen are beautiful. Kaiseki dinner is also even more delicious than kaiseki restaurants.

If it was possible to give 6 stars, I would! Worth every yen we paid for it. Everything from check in to check out was smooth, relaxing.SERVICE: Staff was waiting for us from the street when we arrived and carried our bags straight to the room. Check in was quick and they explained and oriented amenities and activities. Attendant also explained how everything functioned inside the room and all the available amenities. Every meal time, there is a dedicated staff member to serve and explain every dish, every need attended to.FACILITIES: Room was spacious, we got one with its own hot spring/bath. There was an anteroom/foyer, bedroom with TV and many electrical sockets at bedside (4 in total), sitting room, kitchenette (coffee, tea, fridge, mirror/bureau), toilet, large sink and vanity area, and of course, the bath!Private bath for reservation was plentiful and there was a gender segregated bath that switched at 9pm so both genders get to try both baths.FOOD: It was like eating as a judge in Iron Chef every meal! Servings were just right, interesting take on regional ingredients. Meals were memorable and dining area was closed off per group of diners, giving an exclusive, luxurious feel.LOCATION: Walking distance from Yufuin station and major attractions.Overall experience was superb! If you have the means, must try this place!

Service is good and most important thing is that dinner is sensational. We luckily met the owner and she helped us to dress Yukata to join fireworks event. The kids tried fireworks which provided by the hotel and it gave us the best experience in Yufuin.

The ryokan has a traditional feel but is clean and stylish. It basically consists of one large public bath and four family baths, as well as private rooms with and without baths. The rooms with private baths seem to have an open-air bath on the first floor and an indoor bath on the second floor. The location is not too far from Yufuin's main street, so it's easy to walk to, and the staff is friendly. In particular, the person who appears to be the owner treats me well. The meal was not salty and overall the quality was high. Chicken dishes, eel, raw fish, and beef were all satisfactory, and my companions were highly satisfied with both kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Of course, rice is also delicious. Each dish was explained kindly and was carefully considered. Depending on the room, you eat in your room on the first floor and in the restaurant on the second floor, but we who stayed on the second floor ate on the first floor. In the meantime, bedding was placed in my room, and I liked that the dining and sleeping areas were separate. Personally, I thought it would be a good place to visit as a family. There are enough large public baths and family baths so you can go with like-minded people, and the space isn't too big, so it's good for people to go together. It wasn't a very sophisticated or modern place, but I think I could have been more satisfied if I visited without high expectations. In conclusion, it was a place I really liked and would like to recommend. For your information, when I asked why I chose it during the survey, they also gave me ramune, but I didn't remember it at the time, but it came to mind while I was writing, and it got a 5 out of 5 on Jalan, so I made a reservation without thinking too much.

The room is clean and around 8 minutes walk from train station, we booked the room with in-room spa.Dinner - they served faster than we ate, better give us more time to taste each dish, the food is exquisite but the taste is normal.Breakfast - they will morning call you around 7:45am......we were sleepy and tried to wake up and tidying up, then they will call you again if they can't see you at 8am for breakfast.........Staff - super nice but not good at English, mainly use body language to communicate
