Although I stayed without meals, there were two types of bread and coffee for breakfast. The employees were also very friendly 😊However, it's a bit disappointing because you can't leave your car until 3pm on the day you stay, and you have to leave it by 10:30 on the day you return. There is a municipal parking lot (free of charge) behind the inn, so please park there.(Those who wish to visit the shrine are recommended to move to the municipal parking lot late at night or early in the morning.)There is also a smoking area on the first floor 😊

The female staff are very helpful. Thank you very much. If you don't like the unpleasant male staff, you can quit.I won't complain even if I don't have to prepare that much.

The hospitality and location were great! All of the employees welcome us pleasantly and give us a good greeting. In addition, the entrance to Nikko Toshogu Shrine is a 2-minute walk away, and you can also go sightseeing to Nikko Station from right in front of the hotel.

The other day, my elderly mother and I took care of her.The inside of the hotel was clean, and the woman at the front desk was very kind and wonderful. The location is good, right in front of Shinbashi, so we recommend it to those who want to stay overnight without meals.

Make sure to reserve the standard, traditional Japanese room, non-smoking for the same experience. The place is absolutely gorgeous, outside is really beautiful with its tree, and inside is fine, it is old, but it is fine. The rooms are just as well, old, but really well maintained and super clean. The one we stayed at was an absolute surprise since it was Ryokan-styled. Also, the place can't be better located, just in front the Nikko bridge and literally just half block from the Nikko World Heritage Park. The staff is really friendly, if you ask kindly and they don't have a ton of guests, they kept our bags until 4pm, even though the limit is noon (12pm).Just a little warning, I'm slightly heavy and you need 2 mattresses for a comfortable night.

I think this is a satisfying inn in this price range.Especially the customer service is polite and wonderful. I feel that all the staff members are polite and have solid policies. The location is right in front of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, so it's perfect for those who are looking for Toshogu Shrine. What you should be aware of is that the quality of the equipment is commensurate with the price. I think it's easy to understand if you say it's an inn used by students on school excursions (it is actually used on school excursions). The sink is located in the hallway, so it looks like students on a school trip line up to brush their teeth (it would be awkward if they overlapped with other guests, haha). The most unexpected thing was the bathroom. It is a small bathhouse with a capacity of 6 people. When I finally entered, there were all male students except me.An old man was soaking alone in the bathtub while 5 young people were making a lot of noise, so it was very uncomfortable lolIt was a good joke, but if you are unlucky, such a situation can happen. My impression is that what they lack in facilities is made up for in courteous customer service. Thanks to you, I had a great trip to Nikko. thank you for helping me.

Worst hotel everI highly recommend this to anyone considering staying here. This is a place you should avoid before you have a bad experience.I've stayed at several high-end hotels and cost-effective hotels, but this one is the worst.Attitude that you can do anything as long as it's cheapThe facilities, service, and cleanliness are not commensurate with the price.I have no idea about customer service or hospitality.I don't understand why there are so many stars. It is said that it is a pleasure to receive repeat business in response to reviews, but repeat business is impossible. To the manager or managerManagement is not goodorganization is not functioningThe room is dirty (it can't be helped that it has deteriorated over time, but other than that)Questions about the response to the coronavirus pandemicMultiple hairs and dust on the futonBad customer service attitudeThe wording is not correctThe manager just stares at the peopleI'm more of a ruler than a manager. My child is scared and cries, but then he justifies further glaring.Even though my wife and children are scared, there is no apology at all.I'll give you more lectures on Tarareba.Apparently, “if you park your car in front of the inn, emergency vehicles will not be able to pass.”If an emergency vehicle were to come from behind while passing in front of this inn, normally they would put out a hazard on the left side of the road and stop, but that is not possible in front of this inn.By the way, in my case, I left my wife (the driver) in the car and went out to go talk to this inn. Then, I received an incomprehensible answer saying, "It's not good to leave your wife and children behind."That's why I left the driver alone in case an emergency vehicle or other vehicle came from behind.lie without hesitation“You can't park because there is a bus stop right in front of you”this is a lieThere is not a bus stop “in front” of the entrance of the inn.You can check it on Street ViewIf you face the entrance of the inn, it will be on your left. The road in front of the inn is a public road.It is not private property of the inn, but as soon as you pass by, you will be asked to get out of the way, as if you need a pass.Is it because of sunlight?By the way, parking is prohibited on the road in front, but there is no sign prohibiting parking.Their attitude was that parking violations would not be tolerated under any circumstances.Even if someone falls down or has an accident in front of this inn, in any case, please move and park in a nearby coin parking lot.I'm a parking inspector who misunderstands public roads as private property and uses inns as a side job.Do you have terrible self-interpretation and think you are God?Is it because of the sunlight? If you are driving, you should park at a nearby coin parking lot, walk to the inn, and ask the inn where to park. However, this is not mentioned on the website, so if you park in the back parking lot without knowing it, you will get scolded, and if you park on the road in front of the inn, you will get into an argument like the one above and get glared at.Not suitable for people who often unload luggage from the carThe website also states that even if you know where the parking lot is, you should not park without permission. Please be careful. This is an inn that squeezes out your money. If you are careless because the accommodation fee is low, you will be scammed. It's really bad if you go by car.Too much explanation. Please refer to other comments regarding parking. They don't even listen to my questions and requests. They justify their story to the extent that they think they are right.A manager who uses things like “absolutely 〇〇desu”Is there an absolute in this world?Difficult to understand and not enough advance noticeAfter I apologized, a long sermon began.Maybe it's a matter of geographical advantage, but you should reconsider your personality a little more.I want them to grow by pointing their fingers at themselves, not at others.I think it's already too lateThis is an inn that instantly destroys the fun feeling of traveling.I guess there's a problem with the fact that you can usually get a room if there's a vacancy even though it's not even a weekday.I will respond to good reviews, but I will make excuses or get angry at negative reviews. There is zero attitude of taking customer feedback seriously and using it as fuel for one's own growth.Judging from the fact that they do and do not reply to Google inns, they seem to like their customers more.If I get a reply to this post, will it be because I want to check the facts, or will it be another long, long excuse or sermon?Or can I request it to be deleted? In fact, please do not reply to this post either.Ah, maybe it's because there used to be a lot of overseas tourists, but the people here don't speak Japanese. . .Finally, I would like to say once again that I cannot "absolutely" recommend this to anyone who wants to have a fun trip. This is an inn that hurts both mind and body.

Perfect location just right on the old street of Nikko. Within 10 mins walking distance to Toshogu, 1 min to Shinkyō.It has public baths for males and females, staffs speaks limited English but are willing to help. They helped us to make reservations at restaurants and made some recommendations. You’ll need to make your own bed though.. first time in a Ryokan. You can leave your luggage after checking out.
