At the end of August, the renovation of the guest room and bath was completed, and I was finally able to enjoy my long-awaited day trip bath. Unlike most of the day-trip baths in Yumoto, which are wooden bathtubs that are associated with the image of Shika-no-Yu, this one has a rock bath style with steps, and the hot spring ingredients that have been accumulated for over 20 years are thickly caked there, creating a unique secret. It had a hot water feel to it. I loved the hot water and used to come here often, so I visited with both anxiety and anticipation to see how the renovation had changed. It was swung in the opposite direction. It's extremely beautiful, clean, and has no feeling of being a secret hot spring. The hot springs are still the best, a mixture of Shika-no-Yu and Gyouto-Yu. So, if you're looking for style, this isn't the place. On the other hand, if you want a clean bath, Yumoto is the place to go. Of course the washing area is also clean. My family is really happy because we now have a variety of day-use hot springs. You will probably use this before returning home from your vacation home.People like hot springs, and I like the fact that Yamakai was reborn as an option.

Although the inn is quite old, the guest rooms and baths were renovated in July 2024 and are clean with no problems. The meals served in the room are just the right amount and are exquisitely delicious with gentle orthodox flavors. The water flows directly from the source of "Shika-no-yu" near the mountaintop, and the hot springs have a strong sulfur content and are extremely effective. Therefore, the overall satisfaction level was very high.I think it's perfect for families with slightly older children and elderly couples.

When I visited on July 28th, it was under renovation.I've been here many times, and every time I come, Yamakai's white cloudy hot springs are the best.I would love to visit once the renovations are complete.

Stayed for one night from April 26th. This is a hot spring, Shika-no-yu, flowing directly from the source. The inside of the bathroom was amazing, and there was so much sulfur that I was wondering if it was really good for the body...LOL I ended up taking a bath three times. The room was convenient and had a washlet. The walls are thin.I was woken up by the voice next door at 5:30am. lolMeals are served in your room and can be enjoyed in peace. It seems that it will be renewed after Golden Week, so I would like to visit again.

The quality of the spring water is very good. The bathroom has an interesting staircase-like design. The rooms are old but clean. You can relax by eating in your room.

Everyone at the hostel was kind and comfortable, and I was able to relax without any stress. Going up and down from the third floor to the first floor bath is also a good exercise. Still, it's an attractive bath that you'll want to take a bath in. I thoroughly enjoyed the terraced bathtub as per the instructions posted. Personally, I felt comfortable taking a hot bath. After taking a breather in the room, we took a walk to Nasu Onsen Shrine while enjoying the cool water and had dinner in our room around 6pm. The quantity was just right and it was delicious. It seems that you can also get a second helping of rice. After breakfast, it was OK to leave the futon on the bed if I told them. By the way, the mattress and pillow were of a pressure-distributing type that supported the body at points, so I was able to sleep well without waking up once until morning. We swapped genders in the evening, night, and morning, and took two family baths. I was able to stay here for 24 hours without any hesitation, and I was able to relax and refresh myself by going for a walk, which I don't usually do. No wonder the repeat rate is high.
