It's not a modern, stylish old folk house, but a really old folk house. You can hear all the voices, snoring, and alarms from the next room. The fittings are old, so the sounds of opening and closing the sliding doors and walking in the hallway can be quite loud.I thought it would be suitable for people who are looking for a pottery class or for a group stay.It is a good idea to bring all your amenities. You collect your own hot water for the bath. I used a nearby hot spring. I also bought food at the supermarket.

Since you will be staying in a real old folk house, the rooms will be partitioned off with sliding doors and shoji screens. Self-catering is the basics. There are separate male and female baths, 3 toilets, and no problem using the kitchen.Slippers are old, so it's a good idea to bring your own. Please bring only the futon set and sheets, towels and toothbrushes.Since it's reasonably priced, it seems like there are a lot of customers from overseas. There is a pottery experience class. You can watch professional potters use their kilns for exclusive use.

We stayed in an old folk house for 4 nights and experienced pottery making. The old folk house is made of wonderful big trees. This is a lodging facility that is hard to find in the Tokyo area. You can stay overnight, so whether you stay alone, as a couple, or as a family, I think you can have a great experience. We have a kitchen so we will prepare our own meals, so if you are coming by train, we recommend that you bring your own food.We also have futons, towels, etc. There is nothing special required. What I thought would be nice to have is a hair dryer of your own (I have my own hair dryer, but the wind power is too weak so it might be faster to dry it naturally (lol) If you're staying in the winter, bring your own. I recommend that you go)It's also useful to bring a box of tissues 😊If the weather is good, you can see a sky full of stars.I have a cute cat. He is a very friendly cat.Pottery was a lot of fun and I gained a lot of experience.I was taught by three foreigners.Everyone speaks Japanese very well, and above all, they create a fun atmosphere, so you can have fun while laughing. The bearded guy from Northern Ireland will teach you very politely and with humor. The American people are also very polite and will teach you with a very nice smile.Belgian women are cute, kind and very polite. The staff are all very kind and fun, so I think both beginners and children can have fun making pottery.

As a nice old folk house, it needs a little more maintenance.

Well, it's not like a hotel, but it has a 300-year-old feel, and it's nice to be able to have fun in a Japanese-style room. The restrooms are new and clean, which is a big plus. The bath is large enough to accommodate up to 3 people, but I would like it to be cleaned a little more, and I think it would be a good idea for the staff to enter before the guests (lol)
