This is a guesthouse run by an elderly couple. This is a style where you are responsible for raising and lowering the futon and meals yourself.Tissues, razors, and toothbrushing sets are not provided, so bring your own.I spoke to the landlady and she lent me a towel and a yukata. If you have room in your luggage, it will feel more like being at home if you bring your usual things with you.Yumigahama on the weekend. I think this one-night stay with two meals costs 8,300 yen (beer not included. It should have been 500 yen/bottle), which is a good value for money. Moreover, you can travel alone even in the height of summer! The hot springs are fed directly from the chloride spring source. It's warm, so it might be a good idea to visit in winter to enjoy the hot springs. When I was wandering around Yumigahama Beach at night, I encountered a large wild boar. It was safe, but if you have children, be careful. If you're going by bike, it's a good idea to have a side stand pad.

Although it is small, it has a hot spring open-air bath which is very nice. There are no tissues in the room, which is inconvenient. There is a washroom in the room, which is convenient.Grilled fish came out for the meal, but it was cold.I wish there was an outside shower so I could use it while swimming at the beach. There is water for washing your feet.It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Yumigahama. The location is pretty good. The parking lot was spacious and available from the time we arrived in the morning to after we checked out.

It was good that the cleaning was thorough. The food is average and the portions are large. The bathroom was also clean.

It was a guesthouse that gave you a feeling of "Showa era nostalgia." Even if all the other places are full, I think there will probably be some vacancies. Since the elderly hostess is running the business by herself, she has not invested in any equipment, so there are no services, but the rooms are clean. I didn't have hot water for the drip coffee I brought for my morning coffee time, so I went to Seven. As it is called a hot spring guesthouse, the open-air bath has a feeling of openness. It's about a 5 minute walk to Yumigahama, so it might be a good choice for people who think Shirahama in Shimoda is crowded. It is not suitable for people who are looking for WIFI, a washlet, and a quiet place where they can't hear the conversations in the next room.
