Apartment-like accommodation attached to Ryokan KamioboI was taken to a small room away from the inn and given a towel and toothbrush. It's behind a restaurant, so you'll be stared at by customers every time you go in and out of the room, and the walls are thin enough that you can hear the footsteps of the customers around you.You can also use the indoor bath at a ryokan if you request, but they are extremely troublesome and will refuse you if a ryokan guest is using it. The indoor bath is supposed to be open until 10pm, but Hataya customers who are not guests of the inn are asked to register by 2030.Arima Onsen's public bath, Kin-no-Yu Gin-no-Yu, has long opening hours, and to be honest, it's not even an indoor bath that's worth going through such unpleasant treatment.I can't help it if it's 5,000 yen for a room without meals, but paying 13,000-15,000 yen and being treated like a poor person is an unbearable experience. It's much better to just stay at a good inn or find accommodation in a place close to Kobe. Most of the restaurants in Arima Onsen close at 6pm and the public baths are open until 10pm, so I couldn't find any reason to stay at an expensive hotel without meals or a hot spring. This seems to be an inn created by an inn operator to deceive foreigners who don't know the market prices in order to have more fun and make money.

When I wake up with the window slightly open, the sound of birds and water is fantastic. You can check in at Hotel Kamiobo, which is a little down the street, and there is a large public bath there. There are both gold and silver soup. It's about the size of a local bathhouse, but there's no one there, so I used it very leisurely.

This is a B&B located in Arima Old Street-Yumotozaka. It is well worth staying for those who want to experience traditional Arima hot springs. In ancient times, Arima Onsen had only one bathhouse divided into two baths (located in the current Kinnoyu). The large bathing bathing system has been a thousand-year tradition of Arima Onsen. In the era of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one soup was equipped with ten baths, a total of twenty baths, and two bath ladies were installed in the baths. Guests who want to bathe in hot springs can only wait until the time for their turn is up, and then the hot spring ladies will guide them into the bath. As the number of bathers increased, dormitories called "small lodges" were built under the square, further enriching and improving the accommodation facilities. Geisha culture is also a traditional feature of Arima and is worth experiencingHataya is affiliated to Shangdafang (check in is also at Shangdafang). If you want to take a short stay in the free hot spring, you can come here. There are no volcanoes near Arima, so there should be no hot springs. The hot spring water comes from seawater that seeped into the ground 4 million years ago. It was heated by the underground culvert and emerged in Arima. It is a very rare underground hot spring. The high salt and mineral content is a unique feature of Arima Onsen. It has been the number one soup in Kansai since ancient times. The spring quality of Shangdaifang is the famous golden soup. It is named because of its high iron content. Iron will oxidize to dark brown when exposed to air. You must experience it.

A high location in the middle of the old townscape, which can be called Arima's main street.A long time ago, there was a long-established doll brush workshop and store here, but a few years ago a fire destroyed about three wooden buildings. Built on the site, the building retains its retro atmosphere, and the first floor is now a shop selling doll brushes, local beer, and incense. The second floor is an inn shaped like an outbuilding of an inn.The room was simple and calming, but the toilet and other water facilities were modern, and the bed was comfortable. The door lock was a bit stiff and I was confused to open it.There is a spring source just behind the hot spring, and just breathing in the steam from the hot spring makes me feel good ♨️I decided to take a bath and check in at the long-established inn "Kamidaibo" across the street, so I immediately ate Kamidaibō's Kinsen. It's a very old bathroom, and you can feel the history in the hot spring water supply port, where the ingredients of the hot springs solidify like a limestone cave. Like a small ruin.

It was a clean and simple room with just a small round table, cushions, a small refrigerator, and a tea set.We stayed with 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children, and the room was small and 80% of the room was occupied when we laid out single futons for the 3 people who paid. After checking in, the female Nakai who showed us to the room explained the room, recommended nearby restaurants for children, and gave information about Kin-no-Yu and Gin-no-Yu (both of which are available for 850 yen if you buy a set ticket). I was very impressed with the detailed explanations using a map, such as the opening times for Kamidaibo (free of charge) across the street, etc.My older child complained about not having a TV, but there are Kin-no-Yu (the child loved the footbath right next to it) and Gin-no-Yu within walking distance. , I was able to eat at various shops and look at souvenirs on the way, so I had a lot of fun!So far it's ⭐︎4! !(Minus 1 because I felt the price was high considering the room was small and very simple.)What happened after this was very disappointing...Since I came all the way, I want to try all the hot springs (≧∀≦)! After taking a bath in Gin-no-Yu and Kin-no-Yu for my older child, and having dinner, we headed to Kamidaibo, which is right in front of our inn.A man wearing glasses came out from the reception desk, and when I told him, ``I came to take a hot spring bath,'' he replied, ``You can't come in because the hotel is full of guests staying at Kamidaibō.'' About. The female Nakai told me that I could take a bath until 10pm, so I finished everything and arrived at Kamidaibo before 9pm, hoping to soak in the hot springs for a bit and then go to bed right away. Despite..."Then what should I do? Is it okay if I wait a little while and come back?" I asked, and the person at Hataya replied, "We're open until 9:30 p.m...."He said that priority was given to those staying at Kamidaibō. Hataya is treated like the outskirts of Kamidaibo, but in the end they weren't allowed to enter even though we arrived before 9pm, and my older child, who loves hot springs, was in tears even after returning to her room. It was very pitiful...It gets crowded around 9pm, so guests staying at Kamidaibō will have priority and may not be able to enter. It would be a shame if you had informed me in advance that you should use it as soon as possible. If I were a Nakai, even if you go back to your room, I would contact you when the room is empty! I think it corresponds to No, I'm sure the female waiter who gave me the detailed explanation would have responded in the same way. .Even after I returned to my room, I was still filled with anger and sadness at Mr. Hataya, who had treated me in a way that made my child cry, thinking that maybe the man with glasses just wanted to go home sooner.I was very disappointed at the end...I never want to go to a hotel that makes my child cry again...For my older child, I went to Kin no Yu again the next morning (Kamidaibo is open from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, so I couldn't enter).Arima Onsen and the hot spring town were amazing! !We bought minced meat cutlets, croquettes, and fried chicken made with Kobe beef from a shop near our accommodation, and Karinto manju near Kin-no-yu, and the kids enjoyed them all and they were all delicious! There were many inns and hotels nearby, so I would like to use another inn next time.

I decided to come here after seeing reviews of Hataya on several sites. In conclusion, it was extremely comfortable. I'm glad I chose Hataya. This is perfect for people who want to enjoy just the hot springs and overnight stay at the lowest possible price! The cost is less than 10,000 yen per person for a stay without meals, and the rooms are simple, clean, and relaxing. (Below [Good points] and [Points to note])【It was good point】After checking in, he guided me to my room and gave me a brief explanation of the room. At that time, the staff brought a slightly smaller yukata for my petite girlfriend, which made a great impression on me. There is a famous street called Yumotozaka in front of the dormitory, and we had plenty of fun just walking around and looking around. Also, since there was no TV, we didn't have to waste time and could spend time just the two of us.【important point】Most restaurants in the area close before 6pm, so we recommend getting your food early. It takes quite a while to walk to the nearest convenience store. (←Personally, I liked it because I could use it as an excuse to take a walk at night.)You will be given the dormitory key and the room key in a linked form, so your movements are likely to be restricted. (← Since we were traveling together, there were no particular problems, but I'll write this down just in case.)Guests staying at the hotel can enter the hot springs at Kamiobo for free, but people have different preferences regarding the hot springs at Kamiobo. (There is also a two-kan ticket (850 yen) for Kin-no-Yu and Gin-no-Yu, so this is recommended for those who want to tour the hot springs.)It was a perfect accommodation.
