It was a great experience to stay here. The elegant environment was very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed it very much under the music prepared by the hotel, especially in the afternoon when the sun shone in the room. It was so beautiful!The reception staff is very kind and professional, and willing to help. We also recommend the restaurant downstairs. The food is very healthy and affordable. We speak highly of it and look forward to coming back!

I visited the opening reception on May 30th.This is a modern facility that makes use of an old building.A guest house with one floor for rent.There is a separate entrance from the restaurant on the 1st floor.The 2nd floor is spacious, with a bathroom, toilet, bedroom, living room, and kitchenette all connected on one floor.Accommodates 2 people on the bed and 3 people on the raised bed (futon). Up to 7 people can be accommodated, including those sleeping together.(Layout similar to a Japanese-Western suite suite room)While the space was made with old features such as black washi paper walls, bamboo accent walls, and antique window frames, the water area was new, modern, and calming.The floor is relatively barrier-free, so I thought it would be easy for people with disabilities to spend the day as long as they could clear the first staircase. There is also a small raised area with tatami mats, so I think it's a good place to spend time with children. (This is my personal opinion)[Additional note] The restaurant on the 1st floor opened on March 1, 2024. The restaurant is open from 15:00 to 22:00, so breakfast can be eaten in your room or at a nearby affiliated restaurant (oito), but why not stop in for a cafe time or dinner after check-in?

2023.12.03This time I stayed at the hotel "hotel mai" in Tanba Sasayama.This hotel was renovated from a former bank. It is more like a B&B because it only has one room.It is the entire second floor at one time and can accommodate up to 7 people (5 adults and 2 children)Mainly two single beds + three Japanese style bedsThere is a small kitchen, dining table, large bathroom and separate toilet. It is very comfortable overall.If you like to cook by yourself, you can also buy ingredients to make it!The selection of hotel mai is very good. The toothbrush is made of bamboo, which is environmentally friendly and unique.I also like their towels, they are super fluffy and soft, and the owner of the B&B is very attentive!I dare say this is the most comfortable hotel towel I have ever used in Japan, no one can compare to it👍This B&B has other branches in Tanba Sasayama. I want to try it next time I have the chance.

Its my second time to visit Tamba.We are the first visitor to stay in Mai.Mai is a former bank in Tamba, now renovated to be a guest house. The interior is so awesome and full of history.Ground floor is a pop up store and coming in autimn. Shop owner will explain the story of each item in the shop.We stayed 1 night, enjoy the famous food, botan nabe.Also, MAI will provide a breakfast in the nearby coffee. Another historical building, 5mins walk.Btw, is more easy if you drive.
