First time in Atami to enjoy some hot springs. This hotel has a shuttle bus from the nearby train stations, which is necessary unless you have a car. The building and rooms are old and reminded me of my grandparent's house, but clean and comfortable. The meal (dinner and breakfast) that comes with the stay was a pretty good deal. The main hot spring area is probably the smallest I've been and does not have an outdoor area, but you can make a reservation for the private hot spring area.Payment Method: Credit Card

I stayed here for one night for a vacation and loved it! Yamanoue is a traditional Japanese hotel with an attached hotsprings. The staff are delightful! They were kind and helped me navigate the experience. They truly went above and beyond. For example, when I took a taxi to atami station, the hostess looked into the taxi company for me to ensure that it was trustworthy. The hotel is on a hill overlooking Atami so I had beautiful views of the ocean from my room, from the hotsprings, and from the lounge. The hotsprings had an indoor and outdoor option, a warm and a very warm option, and a sauna. I preferred the two outdoor tubs as they gave me the best view. One thing that I didn't immediately realize was that the signs outside the hotsprings describe what is inside but the men/woman indicator is on the curtain. Look for it on the bottom left of the curtain. Blue curtains for men, red curtains for women.I loved my stay here and would be delighted to come here again!

It can't be helped that the building is old, but the renovation has been done half-heartedly and the sliding doors are missing. The clothes in the room are still in the same condition, and the clothes inside the building smell (old smell?)The hot springs were okay if they had a sauna, but the doors between the outside and inside baths were left open, allowing insects to enter as much as they wanted. I thought it would be better to write on the door so that people who enter the outdoor space should open it each time they open it.Dinner food is average, and there are no special services in the hotel. There was a notice in the room asking people not to bring their own drinks, and it was a traditional system where you had to buy drinks and alcohol from the fridge! There was no water after the bath, so I had no choice but to buy something to drink. When I tried to go out to eat breakfast at 8:00 a.m., he came into the room and told me not to lock the door because he would clean up the futon. This is my first time using a system like this, and I think it would be better for the inn to not put away the futon or enter the room even though I didn't ask for it before checking out.The male uncle (who was in the kitchen) was so unfriendly that he ignored my questions? His attitude was also terrible.Although there are some things I would like to give 1 star, all the female staff members were very pleasant and polite, and the customer service was excellent! 5 stars!! ︎The making of the futon was also beautiful.

I was worried because there were so many bad reviews, but when I arrived, there was nothing like that and everything was normal. The tatami and wallpaper were clean and there was no dust. …

I made a reservation based only on the photos on the website without looking at the reviews.Look at the exterior after arrivingI immediately felt that I had failed.I can't afford to cancelI reluctantly stayedIt was truly the lowest rank I've ever been to.It can't be helped that it's oldEven though they are old, there are many inns that put effort into renovating, cleaning, and cooking. Not only the cleaning but also the quality of the food here is very poor. Not worth the price.I thought it would be more delicious if I made it myself and ate it.There's nothing that tastes deliciousI was disappointed. The hot springs are neither beautiful nor have a good view. There is nothing better than other inns.If you receive money from a customerI think it is natural to provide services and hospitality that are commensurate with the price.Shouldn't at least one thing be improved?I'll never go again,

The man who answered the phone called "Minegishi" had a really bad attitude. When I contacted them to say I wanted to cancel, they called me my name and yelled at me in a Yankee tone, telling me that anyone who doesn't make a reservation is not a customer! I was told. I recommend never going to a hotel with staff like this. I'm so glad I canceled.

As the name suggests, it is on top of a mountain.Perhaps because of the recent Sunday and public holidays, it was fully booked and we had one room left. The inside of the hotel is a Showa retro hotel. The dinner was plentiful and delicious. The service from the friendly and nice Nakai and the employees was excellent. These days, accommodation costs are soaring, but the prices are reasonable in Atami.I think this is the perfect accommodation for a relaxing stay. The managing director at the hotel front desk? seems to have resembled Shido Nakamura (this is my personal opinion).

About 20 minutes by taxi from the station. You have to climb a very steep hill to get there, so it might be difficult to walk.We were welcomed by the landlady. We reserved a large area of the hot spring. It's usually used by men and women, so I was able to use it quite spaciously, which is unusual for a private room.Because it is located on top of a mountain, you can see the mountains, the sea, and the city of Atami from your room and bath, and you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city because you can't hear the noise of noisy cars. It's a great location.Meals were also prepared in the room. The hostess and other people at the inn were very kind. This is a wonderful inn that will warm your heart.Very satisfied.

In conclusion, I was satisfied with the retro but beautiful design. If you are looking for modern beauty and spaciousness, I think it would be better to book another accommodation.I took my niece, who is an elementary school student, and she was so impressed by everything that was installed and how clean everything was, from the ceiling to the floor, that she took lots of pictures. This time it was a day trip, but next time I would like to stay overnight.
