First of all, the good points are that the location was convenient and the staff were very nice. However, considering the price, I felt it was quite expensive. This time I stayed a few more nights in Otaru and a few nights in Jozankei, but I felt it was very expensive compared to other accommodations.First of all, I thought it was a decent inn based on the inn's website and photos here, and the price was reasonable, but in reality, it was just a room for rent and there was no front desk. The room has a retro atmosphere to say the least, but it's creepy and dim, the light bulb is out, the sink plug is missing, and there's a dark hole directly in the room, so the smell comes out and it's disgusting and I can't use it. did. Fortunately, the kitchen sink was clean, so I mainly used that.Just before I went to bed, I noticed that one of the pillowcases was missing, but I was hesitant to contact them so late at night. Also, although it was said that Wi-Fi was available, the signal was so weak that I couldn't use it at all inside the room.If it were cheaper, I would still be satisfied with it... I think you should check the prices of other hotels in Otaru and change the price setting to match the level of Onjuku.

I made a reservation one month in advance based on word of mouth, but the hotel contacted me unilaterally to cancel 10 days before my stay without any alternative plans.I was looking forward to my stay, but I am disappointed.

The accommodation here was exactly as shown in the photo. We rented the largest room, and we all had a great time! It's easy to say that it's a free and comfortable accommodation, but it feels like it's not interested in customers... When I left, there was no one there, and a nearby store kept the key for me, which was helpful 😵 But everyone stayed here. I liked the room at the inn, so I would like to stay there again when I come to Otaru! Thank you very much!!

I had a chance to stay during the year-end and New Year holidays in a room called the Longevity Room. The street right in front of the accommodation is full of tourist glass workshops, making it perfect for sightseeing. It was a special meal for the year-end and New Year holidays, but there were many types of side dishes for dinner! We ate it slowly while drinking puffer fish fillet sake, and all of the dishes were exquisite! !I'm really glad you came! There were many dishes that made me think. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and stylish.I will definitely repeat it again.thank you for helping me.

Seafood is exquisite. Savor delicious dishes such as sea urchin tempura that you will try for the first time. Breakfast was a seafood flyer, which was a great meal.

Since last year, I have been working from home at my parents' home in central Hokkaido, so when I was planning a short trip for three days and two nights to thank my parents and take a break, I decided to stay here for one night. The room is located in the Meiji Room, where you can see the retro townscape outside the window, and includes two meals. For dinner, I ordered a full course seafood meal, and for breakfast I had a seafood bowl. It probably changes depending on the season, but the tachicama and trout sujiko were included both in the morning and in the evening and were delicious, and all the toppings were really delicious.Although the bath is shared, you can lock it and take turns using it, and the Goemon bath warms you up.The service was always smooth and hospitable, and I had a comfortable stay. The location is about 15 minutes walk from Otaru Station and 17 minutes walk from Minami Otaru Station. We recommend walking from Minami Otaru as you can see many sightseeing spots. By the way, this inn is a fusion of Japanese and Western style, and the side facing the street is a light blue Western-style building. As a local resident, Otaru was originally a day trip spot where I would come to fish in the morning but eat breakfast at home, or come to see fireworks but go home before dinner, but now I can say that I have rediscovered the charm of Otaru. It was an inn that made me feel glad that I took the trouble to stay in Otaru.Nowadays, people who live in central Hokkaido are reluctant to travel to other parts of Hokkaido, so I think the demand for trips to Otaru will increase in the future. It was a nice change of pace.
