I stayed for one night on a weekday for business use. I'm only staying here without meals, but it's about a 10-minute walk from the station and the downtown area of Otaru is right behind it, so I think it's a good location for eating out. As other people have said in their reviews, I grew up in the countryside so I was able to use the stairs without any discomfort. Best of all, I was able to stay in Otaru, where hotel prices are expensive, for a last-minute discount of 6,000 yen. I would like to use it again when I have work nearby.

It was my first time using it. Due to my poor strength, I had a hard time checking in because the tablet didn't respond. The room is surprisingly spacious. The stairs are steep and the stepping ground is narrow and dangerous. It's my own fault, but I seriously fell off (lol) Also, as I knew from word of mouth, it shakes a lot when a truck passes by. Personally, I didn't really care. (The kids were amused) There's a parking lot a few minutes away, but I don't think it's far away. I think the location is good as there are many restaurants nearby. If you want to sightsee along the canal, it might take about 30 minutes on foot. That's right.

2024/July Otaru Tide Festival Check-inBecause the accommodation prices around Otaru during the festival are very high, I happened to see U5R, which costs ¥7500 per person. It can only be booked from the official website (available in Chinese), and prepayment is required.U5R adopts self-service check-in. You will receive an email with the door password and check-in QR code 2-3 days before check-in. When checking in, scan the QR code and enter the displayed password to get the key. Check out and repeat the same steps.The room is very spacious, and the equipment has been updated. It has a bit of an industrial style. It has a hair dryer, TV, refrigerator, heating, air conditioning, and bathroom. There is also an induction cooker in the lobby. The only drawback is that the tram passing by will vibrate the room (quite loudly) and the sound It's okay, the sound insulation is average, and it's recommended to wear earplugs if you're a light sleeper (not provided here).

The boss and his wife are very welcoming, and the place they live in is also very comfortable. The floor is made of concrete and it is super cool to take off your shoes and walk on it. I had frostbite on my hands and they took the initiative to apply medicine for me. They originally said they would give me the medicine, but they left it behind after I checked out to return it to them. The disadvantage is that the soundproofing of the room is really poor. You can hear the sounds of cars outside, bathing with water upstairs or walking downstairs, and can be heard in the next room. The room will vibrate when a truck drives by. I don’t think it is related to the construction next to it. , they only have stairs but they are very small. It is really difficult to move suitcases and skis. The toilet is very small. The water from the faucet will be a bit white and turbid. I don’t know what it is. If you drive there, they don’t have their own parking lot. You have to Parking in front of their house costs 500 yen per night, and you have to leave the key, otherwise you have to drive back and forth in their garage. It is troublesome not to be able to use the car at any time. Although it takes 15 minutes to walk to the Otaru Canal, it is still too tiring to go there. By the way, take off your shoes.
