This time, I visited to go chestnut picking. You can do it empty-handed!You can rent buckets, tongs, and work gloves for 300 yen once. This seems to be a good time to pick chestnuts, and you can take them home for 900 yen per kilo.

Used for walking pilgrimage in mid-June 2024. To say the least, dinner was wonderful. As expected, the owner trained at a luxury hotel in Yufuin, so I was very satisfied with the brightly colored and well-balanced menu. Personally, I found the burdock tempura particularly delicious. Also, since the inn is located in the middle of the pilgrimage route, we will leave your heavy luggage with you. I also hit No. 45 Iwayaji in light clothing. Hatchozaka Pilgrimage Route was a fairly steep pilgrimage road, so I made the right decision to leave it there. In addition to the private rooms, the shared areas such as the bath and toilet were also clean and comfortable.

Wanting to enjoy the autumn leaves in a leisurely manner, I thought about staying overnight in Kumakogen Town, but realized that there were no large hotels or inns in Kumakogen Town in the first place. There is a campaign for lodging during the best season for autumn leaves, and because there are pilgrims there, all weekend lodging reservations are fully booked. I was about to give up, but when I picked up a guesthouse on Google Maps, I found Kariba-en. I came here to pick chestnuts a long time ago, but I've never stayed overnight. As usual, I tried to apply through Jalan and Rakuten Travel, but I couldn't. I was able to make a reservation by calling the inn from Google Maps. Apparently, the previous mother passed away and her son is running the inn. The toilets and washrooms are shared, but they were clean and the toilets were right in front of the room, so it wasn't an inconvenience. The bath was clean and felt very comfortable. There are plenty of properly laundered towels, bath towels, and body towels in the bathroom that you can use freely. Shampoo, conditioner, cleansing and facial wash are also available. There is a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom, which you can use for 100 yen. There's also detergent. Is food a countermeasure against coronavirus? I was able to relax by eating in my room for the first time in a while. The chestnut rice for dinner was really delicious. Since the chestnuts are sweet, I asked if they were flavored with sugar, but I was told that the sweetness increases due to the effect of storing them at low temperatures. I didn't want to leave any leftovers, so I ate them all and my stomach was full. I was so absorbed in eating that I forgot to take a photo of the tempura and small pot dish that came out later. The morning was foggy and quite cold. There was a stove in front of the dining room. It seems like there will be a kotatsu in the guest rooms soon. It's a minute or two away from the main street, but thanks to that, it's very quiet. If you drive, you can go to your hometown village in 2-3 minutes, so you won't feel any inconvenience. I would like to stay again.

I was able to freely pick up chestnuts in the vast chestnut forest this year as well.😆😆 It seemed like a lot of chestnuts had fallen in the latter half of September due to this year's typhoon, but since the garden is so spacious, I still had a bucket full of chestnuts ranging from large ones to small sweet ones. It has become 😃The only regret is that it may end after this week's holidays. Thanks to you, I'm storing it at a lower temperature setting in the refrigerator. As expected, the mountain air is soothing.

I looked it up on Google and it was close to Matsuyama City, so I was glad I didn't have to make a reservation.Adults: 300 yen Children: 150 yen Infants are free. You must take the chestnuts you collect home with you.It is best not to pick up insect bites.1kg is 800 yen.The guy who explained it to me was very nice.thank you very much.
