We will never forget our time with Yoshi-san and Eri-san! Wonderful people, so welcoming in their lovely authentic Japanese house. We had a very good, quiet night after a hard day of cycling, and it was also very clean. 100% recommended

Guest House Yoshiyoshi is a great rest stop if you're biking the Shimanami Kaido. The guesthouse has three guest rooms in a traditional Japanese-styled home with tatami mats and sliding wooden doors. The house is very clean and has a warm, comfortable ambiance, kind of like visiting a family member or friend's house. The main house was built by the family a generation or two ago. They later expanded the house and built the second house next door when the family grew. Yoshinori-san and Eriko-san live in the second house next door, while guest rooms are in the main house. The bathroom is newly renovated and super clean. There's also an assigned toilet stall and sink for each room, so guests have access to their own toilet and don't have to share with others. The shower is shared and has shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. Towels are provided too. The only thing you need to bring is your own toothbrush. Bedrooms have AC and are comfy.Yoshinori-san and Eriko-san were very kind and welcoming. They offered me a delicious lemon jello (made from lemons they grew themselves!) upon my arrival. Although my Japanese is not the best, I really enjoyed chatting with them. Please note, food is not included in the booking (it's ok, there are konbinis nearby), but they were so kind and made a very tasty and nutritious breakfast for me. Eriko-san even made breakfast earlier, informing me that since it had rained last night, I should probably set out earlier to make it in time to return my rental bike at Imabari - and she was totally right! It took more time to bike through the rain. All in all, I had a wonderful stay here. Highly recommend booking here if you're looking for a friendly, clean, and comfortable place to stay. I think the biggest charm is that it feels like a well-loved home. If you're looking to experience staying at a traditional Japanese house with the tatami mat and futon experience, coupled with the warmth of a cozy home, definitely book Guesthouse Yoshiyoshi for your next trip!

When I asked a variety of questions over the phone several times before the day of the tour, they kindly answered questions about nearby buses and bicycle rentals. Also, on the day of my arrival, he called me before I arrived and was concerned about things like dinner. On the day, the couple warmly welcomed us. We had a great time and talked about various things. The house we stayed in was a lovely old folk house with a nostalgic Japanese atmosphere. The toilet and shower seemed to have been renovated and were very clean and comfortable. Also, the surrounding area is very quiet and has beautiful nature. I was able to sleep very well.As for meals, it depends on the day of the week, but many restaurants in the area close in the evening, so we recommend eating early or buying something at a convenience store before going. There is also a bus stop, but there are only a few buses that go to the nearest bus stop, so we recommend visiting by car or bicycle. Also, the cats that are kept (or rather, live there) are cute and friendly, making them recommended for cat lovers. The next morning, the owner took us to the nearby Kirosan Observation Deck, where we were blessed with good weather and were able to enjoy the best view. (We were given a tour by car for an additional fee in addition to the accommodation.)We had a wonderful time until the end thanks to the personality and kindness of the owner and his wife.I will definitely stay here again!

I used it as a place to stay while traveling with friends. The following is a long post, but I'll try to review it while looking back on my memories.Because my trip didn't go as planned, I was way past the check-in time, but they kindly agreed and even went out of their way to meet me outside the front door even late at night. When I told them about my travel plans, they drew me a map to get to my destination, made me tea, sweets, and light meals, and I felt like they were truly doing their best. The owner is a very kind couple. There is no bathtub, but the area around the water is very clean and smells like wood. You can feel the nostalgic feeling of a Japanese house while still having a sense of cleanliness. It was helpful that they provided bath towels and face towels.Looking at other reviews, they all give the highest ratings, which makes me a little suspicious, but it's true. (lol) When you visit Shimanami, please consider using it 🙌p.s. To the owner and his wifeIt was a short time, but I really appreciate your help. If I had been able to check in earlier, I would have liked to talk about various things and play with the cat. There are many spots I haven't been to yet, and I'll be using them again ☺️ Thank you!

I feel lucky to have been able to call the guesthouse my home for one night. And it very much felt like coming home after being off for a long time (similar to when I visit my family back home in the countryside). Thanks to my hosts. Arrigato gozaimasu!

I arrived later than planned, and on my way to the hotel that night, I fell into a river and sustained serious injuries. However, the owner and his wife contacted the hospital and took him there. I was able to feel the true kindness that cannot be replaced by money. Thank you very much. Please be careful when riding your bicycle at night or on rainy days.

It was a very warm stay that felt like returning home. The owner and his wife were so warm and friendly that I felt like I was coming home. The inn is a traditional Japanese house, but the plumbing is new and comfortable. I went with my own bicycle, but I was able to put it in a locked barn. Also, although it was an additional charge, the breakfast made with seasonal vegetables and fruits grown by the owner couple was exquisite. Thank you for the fun memories.
