For those who seek a traditional japanese stay: this is the place for you! Amazing food, very friendly, warm and lovely hosts! The onsen is unique and the location is wonderful! You can even hear in the night the murmur of the mountain river dirrectly from your own room. Another plus is that this place is 5 minutes away by foot from the Mt Ishizuchi ropeway, which makes it perfect for a hike on the breathtaking highest mountain from West Japan. We loved every minute of it and we seek to come back!

Parking available at the end of September 2024. 500 yen per day just before the peak autumn foliage season. If you use the hot spring for 2 days, 1 person can use the hot spring for free. The milky white hot springs are full of a sense of place, but it feels good. There seems to be a Montbell discount.

If you are looking for a parking lot while climbing Mt. Ishizuchi, you should check carefully. There is someone guiding you at the parking lot entrance in the morning, but the parking lot is separate from the hot spring inn.You will have to park your car in a cramped space on the side of the road. Please note that the parking lot of the hot spring inn is further back. The cost for both was 500 yen, but if you are going to use the hot springs, it is better to park here because the grounds are larger and it is more convenient to enter the hot springs. There are rural businesses, but I think it's better to understand them thoroughly before deciding which one to use.

I stayed the night before climbing Mt. Ishizuchi during my pilgrimage. The staff from China were really kind. Both the owner and his wife are good cooks and we are very satisfied. The food is full of volume and flavor. Hot springs after climbing are the best! I will also use it when climbing!

The best😀This is the Showa era. This is a valuable inn where you can experience the atmosphere of the Showa era. The hot spring water is absorbed into the carbonated body. It's cloudy and doesn't have a muddy odor. The best😀I stopped at an inn for climbing Mt. Ishizuchi, which was the right decision 👍 It's a 5 minute walk to the ropeway. You can relax at the inn until the last minute. The president of the inn took good care of me, and the Chinese people were friendly and fluent in Japanese, so I felt at ease. We had a warm time with locals who stopped by for dinner and to have fun. The miso soup for breakfast is sure to surprise you, as is the rice! I'm looking forward to seeing you! Thank you for your help. I will go again 😍

I used the hot springs for a day trip.500 yen for adults, body soap, shampoo and conditioner included. The changing room wasn't very clean, probably because there were a lot of people using it after climbing, but the quality of the hot water was good.I think it's a good hot spring to soak up a sweat after climbing a mountain.

It's right at the foot of the trailhead, and the price is as low as 500 yen. Wouldn't it be great if the cloudy hot water made your skin smooth?

I stayed here after descending Mt. Ishizuchi.First of all, the warmth of the people at the hostel was wonderfully soothing. The foreigners who came to the parking lot were really attentive and taught me a lot about waterfalls and other things, and I had a great time there.Above all, the hot springs were very good. Both dinner and breakfast were simple yet elaborate dishes that made good use of local ingredients, and soothed my fatigue from the mountain climbing. It was a wonderful inn near the trailhead that I would want to stay at after Mt. Ishizuchi every season if it was nearby. It's a shame it's so far away.

Best spring quality! This was my first experience with hot water.I think this is a hot spring that deserves more recognition.2024.1.21 I visited the bath for the first time on a day trip. I have sensitive skin, so if I'm not careful, I can get itchy the moment I soak in the hot water, but this hot water doesn't cause any of that, and my skin feels very soft. I did. It's true that there are some drawbacks, such as weak showers and lack of cleaning, but that's to be expected considering the location. It was a wonderful hot spring that made me feel like I didn't need anything else as long as I had this hot water. There was shampoo, body soap, hair dryer, and drinking water. To use the facility, enter the parking lot on your left that says Kyoya Ryokan parking lot, and a staff member will approach you and tell you that you came to take a bath, and he will instruct you to park your car there. it was done. Before entering the building, I was told that the fee would be 500 yen and I paid in cash on the spot. After taking a bath, I talked to the person in charge and was told that I could have cola or tea, so I bought a plastic bottle of cola for 150 yen. Considering the location, the price was too reasonable. On the way home, he kindly waved and said "See you soon", which warmed my heart and body.
