Accommodation on a solo trip. It was generally comfortable. It's very close to the Dogo Onsen main building, and I was able to get one free ticket. In terms of cost performance, it's perfect. The only downside is that the parking lot is far away. I don't really care that much though.

Used for 4000 yen per person during Golden Week. Good location too. Credit cards not accepted. The exterior is beautiful, but the interior is old. The elevators, hallways, and rooms all have a Showa feel. The maintenance isn't that perfect, with dust accumulating in places you can't see. The interior smells like an old house. However, there were bottled water available and the sheets were clean, so there were no issues with staying there, so I gave this rating based on cost performance.

I was worried after reading the reviews, but it seems like most things have been improved, so I feel like there's nothing missing. Anyway, the location is good. It's not on top of a mountain like other hotels, and if you peek out from the corner you can see the mechanical clock and the main hot spring building. There is wifi in each room and the internet is comfortable.Although it is undeniably old, the floor and bed have been renovated and it was comfortable at night. There's a restaurant across the road that's open even around 10 o'clock, so it's nice to be able to go out and come back quickly.

The best thing is that it's close to the main bath, but the building is old, so don't expect too much. The parking lot is a little far, but you can come and go as you please.

Used during Golden Week. It's an old building so it has a distinctive smell. There is a squeaking sound from the floor etc. The shape of the room is not square, so it may be difficult for people who are methodical.Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. However, when applying on the website, there was no space to write about parking preferences, which was inconvenient. The hot spring ticket can only be used for the main building and Tsubaki no Yu. When I checked with the front desk, I heard that it could be used anywhere, so I went to Asuka no Yu, but I was told that I couldn't use it right before I could enter, so I wasted my time lining up from early morning. (The hotel's information regarding parking and bath ticket use was later improved.)I wonder if an older man is cleaning and managing the place? If you read the responses to the reviews, you'll get an idea of what we think. The location is good, so it may be a good choice for those who want to stay cheap.

Used for Golden Week in 2022. As a result, it turned out to be the worst trip.I had been interested in Dogo Onsen for some time, and at the time of making the reservation, all the other inns were already full, but I was lured into booking this inn after being lured by the offer of free bathing tickets. This may be due to my lack of research, but during busy times, Dogo Onsen Main Building requires a numbered ticket (admission is restricted due to coronavirus measures), and even if you have a bathing ticket, you may not be able to enter the hot spring facility. When I went (7pm), numbered tickets were no longer distributed at check-in. The next day, I waited in line to receive numbered tickets from 6 a.m., but the slots for that morning were full, so I ended up going home without being able to enter the hot springs.I had made a reservation to take a hot spring bath, but I was only able to use the unit bath at a business hotel. It's Golden Week after the coronavirus, so I can understand the situation, but it's still terrible. There was no warning on the reservation site (when I made the reservation) that I might not be able to enter the hot spring facility. Even if you make a mistake, it is better not to stay here for the hot spring purpose during a long vacation.I complained, but the only condition they said was "distributing tickets". When I sent a complaint email to Rakuten Travel, I was informed that only the ticket price would be refunded. Considering the transportation, parking, and accommodation costs, it's not worth it at all.As a business hotel, there are no points to praise, such as no hot water after 11pm. Please be careful if you are considering staying overnight.
