I stayed in a warehouse. The rooms are kept clean and the lighting and metal fittings are carefully chosen. The room is small but clean. The cup is at the back of the second floor! The breakfast that was served early in the morning was also delicious. The location was very easy to find, thank you very much.

2024/03/22 (Friday) The stage of my spring (solo) trip is my first time in Ehime Prefecture😊The second day is Uchiko.I'm sorry, I didn't know about Uchiko💦I learned about this town because it was the hometown of a person who took great care of me when I came to Kansai.Good to know, good to come❗It was a really wonderful city, and I was able to meet that person again for the first time in about 10 years. It takes just over 20 minutes to get there from Matsuyama on the JR Limited Express Uwakai. For someone like me who spends my days in the hustle and bustle of the city, the tranquility and atmosphere of this city is truly soothing✨It makes me feel at ease✨When I was inquiring about various things at the tourist information center at Uchiko Station, the staff member said, ``Are you sure someone is coming to pick you up?'' I greeted the host, who happened to come to pick up another guest, and let him ride with me 😊First, go to "Kokoro" where the front desk is located. I was debating whether to choose this one, but this time I decided on "Kura".The second room I was shown to was wonderful✨One word ♥️ It’s so wonderful ✨Uchiko's cedar blocks are used abundantly at the entrance, and the Isozaki washi wallpaper inside is eye-catching.There is a Japanese-style room and water area on the first floor, and a private garden in the back ♥️It's a maisonette type room, so the bedroom is on the second floor, but I was surprised at how spacious it was even with two double-sized beds. ” I thought to myself.Samue and hanten are available, as well as amenities. If you choose a plan that includes breakfast, you will be able to enjoy delicious Japanese food prepared by your host in the morning. It's really delicious. Also, my wife is a wonderful person and she has taught me a lot of things 😊 Thank you very much ❤️On the way back, they dropped me off at the express bus stop, and they also stopped by at various places, which made me realize once again that this sense of distance is necessary for a solo traveler like me (old lady).Anyway, it's a wonderful hotel 😊

I'm staying here now, my fourth night out of five, and I love it. I'm staying in Kura (Uchi-cocoro has several properties). Every detail is well designed and thought out. I love the fresh flowers; the spaciousness; the lighting; the comfortable bed and it's big puffy comforter; the fragrance of wood throughout the interior; the various inviting spaces to sit; the little gem of a garden; the quiet; the gorgeous deep wood bathtub.Onishi san the owner is friendly and available and super helpful with recommendations for wonderful restaurants nearby. The location is perfect: you can walk everywhere.I don't ever want to leave!10 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The price for Kura House is 14,800 yen per person (including breakfast). The delicious breakfast is only served in a nearby café from 7:30 a.m. If you skip breakfast, no price reduction will be offered.Dinner is not offered. It should be noted that there are not enough good restaurants for fine dining in Uchiko. When checking in you have to wait until the lady of the house has arranged the flowers because this is more important than welcoming a guest. The request to call a taxi is only carried out later and unwanted changes then occur. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The bedroom is on the 1st floor and can only be reached via a steep staircase. The toilet smells of piss from the uncleaned wooden floor.Unfortunately I cannot recommend this overpriced hotel.

An inn in an old folk house. The first floor is a restaurant, and you may be able to interact with the shop staff and customers until the evening hours are closed. The second floor is the living room and bedroom. The living room has a record player and records, mainly jazz, that you can actually listen to. To take a bath, you have to pass through the courtyard and go to a separate annex, but the wood-scented bathtub automatically fills with water in 20 minutes.Drinking coffee while looking out at the courtyard from the verandah makes you want to stay forever.Uchiko also has other traditional Japanese-style inns such as Ori and Ku, which can be used depending on the number of people. And all of them are the best accommodations.

(The hotel has several houses. This review is for the Kokoro house)We stayed in this house for a very nice 5 days in April 22nd. The Kokoro offers an almost unique opportunity to live in a traditional old Japanese house. On the upper floor there is a living room, bedroom, dressing room, balcony and toilet. Breakfast is served on the ground floor and there is a bathroom with a large wooden bathtub. Parts of the ground floor are used as a restaurant until around 3 p.m., but that never bothered us.The rooms are all equipped with tatami, but still have a very comfortable bed. The interior is tasteful and the jazz records that you can play also make for a nice evening. The breakfast is sensational! Better than a 5 star restaurant.Uchiko is worth a longer stay, as not only the old town (probably the most authentic) is worth seeing, but also the surrounding area, which can be wonderfully explored by bike or car. Uchiko offers lovely encounters with the friendly locals and discoveries off the beaten tourist path.Take a look at the English Tourist Guide on the town's homepage.

It's a nostalgic retro room, but it's very relaxing. There is a courtyard and the bath is separate. It's reserved for private use, so you can use it like your own home.

In Nanyo, Ehime Prefecture, there are several inns that are renovated old buildings.``Kiya Ryokan'' in Uwajima is an old building that is used as an inn, but this one is the complete opposite of that, and has been thoroughly renovated to the point that you won't even know it's an old warehouse unless you ask.The interior is very comfortable and you can spend a very relaxing time.We will have to eat outside, but the designated restaurant serves delicious food, and we are very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast.By the way, there aren't many restaurants in Uchiko that are open until late, so it can be a pain to find a place to eat if you skip dinner. The location is close to Uchikoza and the old townscape, making it an excellent base for sightseeing. It's also close to the interchange and has very good access by car. It's a maisonette and the bedroom is on the second floor, so those with disabilities will have to bring out their own futon and sleep on the first floor. The bed on the second floor was fluffy and very comfortable, so I had no complaints about how I could rest my body.If that's the case, wouldn't it be fine to just use a steel frame building instead of remodeling the warehouse? Don't say such uncouth things. It has an appearance that makes you think that it's okay for a building to look like this to blend in with the townscape.I think it deserves a high rating as a stylish hideaway inn.

We stayed one night here. It becomes our most favorite stay during the whole Japan trip! The staff is so friendly, he showed us around the area and gave us the recommendations. The whole accommodation is amazing! The bed is really comfy and it has a really cute yard. We enjoyed our stay so much. The breakfast is also very nice! We’ll definitely come back if we’re visiting uchiko again.
