We came to coccoron on a bike tour and we could not be happier. The hosts were responsive and so so sweet! They had a bbq prepared for us when we arrived, all we had to do was put it on the grill and enjoy. Some of the best meat I have ever eaten, and an incredible eggplant and veggies! It was one of the best hospitality experiences I have ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for authenticity, sweetness, and a comfortable house in a beautiful setting. You won’t regret it!

A guest house where you can experience rural life. The owner's hospitality is everywhere. Even if you bring in lots of ingredients for dinner, there is a large refrigerator, so you can cook in the kitchen, which has a nostalgic atmosphere that makes you feel like you're visiting your grandma's house. If you would like to BBQ, you can try a local meat and vegetable set, experience chopping wood, and cook rice in a hagama pot. The rice from Yukogawa was extremely delicious. When I looked up at the night sky after dinner, I saw a sky full of stars. I was able to enjoy my time relaxing. I look forward to working with you again next year. thank you very much.

The owner was very personable and welcomed us very warmly. Although I was staying with my dog, I was able to stay with peace of mind as they provided amenities and a spacious cage for the dog. I rented a whole house and had the luxury of using a spacious house as if it were my own home. I was very satisfied and was able to relax in a natural environment. Also, if I have the opportunity, I would like to use it.

2024.9.14-16 I used it with my friends. This guest house, which is a renovated old folk house in the mountains, was wonderful to say the least.First of all, from the reservation stage, they responded very politely via email, and answered all my questions quickly and honestly. On the day of the trip, even when I told them that I would be late for the scheduled arrival time, they did not make any negative impressions and even expressed concern about the rain and road conditions. Unlike hotels, the owner and his wife had other duties to attend to and their families were present, so we apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the late arrival time. After driving along the mountain path, when we arrived at the guesthouse, we were greeted by the owner couple and even had a handwritten welcome board! I was very impressed. After receiving a very detailed explanation of how to use the guesthouse, I was told that the owner's family originally lived in Osaka. When I asked about the details, I found out that we were from the same hometown! (The place where I used to live and the place where the owner's family lived were within walking distance) I felt it was a wonderful relationship. The guesthouse itself is very beautiful and clean, with a pleasant smell from the tatami mats.We had all the cooking utensils, seasonings, plates and cups, and we were able to cook. The tomato ketchup and tomato sauce made by Yukogawa The Lycopenes, an association formed by mothers of local tomato farmers, are exquisite! I tried the food they had for me to try and was impressed. I couldn't afford to buy it on this trip, so I bought it online the next day! There is also a washing machine and laundry detergent, which is very helpful for long-term guests like us! Shampoo, treatment, and body soap are also available. On the second day, when I told them that I wanted to have a BBQ that had not been planned, they happily agreed to it without showing any offence. They also contacted a local farmer with whom they had connections, and asked them to raise locally grown vegetables. They purchased rare beef steaks and pork sausages. This is yet another masterpiece! BBQ under the starry sky that could be seen from the cloudy sky was special! (We even prepared a hammock for you to watch the starry sky.)The meat and vegetables prepared in the basic set are also very delicious, especially the locally grown vegetables, which are fresh and are a feast even if they are not grilled. That's what I thought. It's been a long time, but I definitely want to come again next time, no, I'll definitely come!Thank you very much for your continued support. This was a review from an office worker who doesn't usually work in Tokyo.*I think it's important to understand that this is not a hotel, but a guest house that is a renovated old private house.Personally, I think that the couple is wonderful and that they are treating you too well, and I pray that you will not be tired both physically and mentally from the service we have received so far. (It's okay if it's a little rougher lol)

I wanted to go to Shikoku Karst on a family trip and was looking for a nearby accommodation and found this place.I decided to stay here because it was very cheap compared to other hotels in the area! There was a forest right next to Totoro, and there was a river nearby, so I was so excited when I arrived at the old folk house built in the middle of nature!Although it is an old building, it is very clean and has spacious Japanese-style rooms, and there is also a living room, kitchen and dining area, so everyone in the family can relax! There are plenty of cooking utensils and seasonings, so there's nothing to say!If I had known that miso was available, I would have bought miso soup ingredients for breakfast. I thought so 🤣The children were very excited about the many car toys and played with them all at home! For dinner, I ordered a BBQ set and procured the ingredients at a supermarket along the way.It was very helpful to have it set up so that I could start a fire right away!I went outside to look at the stars at night, but the moonlight was so bright that the stars were dim.It was my first time to see a moon that bright and it was a great experience! It was a shame that we only stayed for one night. I wanted to take it more slowly! The staff who met us and saw us off were also very kind and polite, and even though it was a short time, we were able to experience chopping wood and play with the children, but we were very grateful to them for taking care of us!Thank you very much! !

★Owned by a lovely couple,Saiko house! ! ★I visited for one night, but I wanted to enjoy it even more! !---On the way there, there were times when I was worried, wondering if I would be okay on this road, but once I arrived, I found myself in a space where I could enjoy an extraordinary experience! The BBQ was delicious, with meat and vegetables of a quality that you can't find in Tokyo, and in the clear air.You can make homemade pizza from the dough in a homemade oven and eat it on the spot. The quality of the meat was exceptional, both in taste and tenderness. The view from the tatami room was spectacular, and the space was enough to soothe your soul!---The owner recommended it, and one night wasn't enough time to enjoy the view from the top of the mountain and experience harvesting tomatoes that were picked in the morning.Look forward to the scenery of each season. This is an inn that I would like you to visit many times in your life★Thank you so much! !Kokkoron is the best~★

My boyfriend and three of my friends stayed here for two nights during a three-day weekend in September. The best thing about it was the personality of the couple who were the staff. They welcomed us warmly and kindly helped us with preparations for the bath (firewood!) and sightseeing. It was very helpful to be able to receive various information via email before arriving. It seems that they have a deep relationship with the local people, and even at a short notice they prepared a BBQ set made from local livestock, and they also had products made from tomatoes that are actively cultivated (ketchup, dressing, etc.). It was also fun to be able to eat local produce. The location is about 30 minutes away from a supermarket, but the stars were clearly visible despite the full moon. The BBQ under the starry sky with the sound of insects as background music was the best. The room, bathroom, etc. were all clean and safe.Next time I would like to visit you in winter when the stars are beautiful!Thank you very much for the wonderful summer memories.

It is a renovated old folk house in a quiet place in the mountains, and you can enjoy experiences from the past, such as a Japanese-style room, a stone oven, and a bath heated with firewood! At night, I made pizza by kneading and rolling out the hot water from the bread, adding toppings, and baking it in a stone oven. Although it was a bun dough, it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and very delicious. We also had a BBQ, where we were able to enjoy more meat and vegetables, including more steak than we could eat. The ingredients used are local tomatoes and meat from Shirokawa-cho, Seiyo City. The breakfast bread made from the leftover hot water and Kokkoron's homemade pumpkin potage were also delicious. The next morning I had to leave earlier than the others because I had to work, but the people I stayed with this time and Mr. Kokkoron made me breakfast and saw me off, which made me happy and felt like I was leaving my parents' house. I felt nostalgic. It would be great if we could see a lot of stars this time.

I recently had a chance to work with you and my family. The host and his wife were very enthusiastic and we had a great night. The quietness of the countryside and the freshness of the air left a deep impression on me. The interior of this inn is very clean and you can really enjoy the Japanese atmosphere. In the garden, you can listen to the sounds of insects as background music and watch the moon while having a BBQ, so you can experience a very relaxing night, so please come and see it!Recommendations: Come visit the accommodation, enjoy the first experience! The store's old board and old board girl are super fine!
