An Ok hotel but could be difficult for a big group checking in here especially when you are located at the extension branch because you need to go to another building with a very steep ramp though it also has stairs. …

We reserved a room with meals set. The dinner served was so-so and it’s quite a surprise there’s a yakiniku dish available. However, the restaurant atmosphere isn’t decent at all, hygiene so-so and very crowded. BBQ smell everywhere. The Onsen in this particular resort was poorly decorated. You can also go to the partner hotel which serves a better Onsen. Both Onsen close early at 11pm. Be aware of the time

I stayed two nights in a row with the intention of relaxing at Dogo Onsen. The location is very good as it is very close to the main building of Dogo Onsen. You can use both hot springs at our sister hotel, Hana Yuzuki Hot Spring.Dinner at Hana YuzukiDinner on the first day is grilled beef and pork. The braised sea bream head had a strong seasoning, but it was delicious. On the second day, we had blowfish tempura, boiled rockfish, and sukiyaki. The dinner menu has changed and there are many items and it is very delicious.I was surprised at the deliciousness of the mandarin oranges served at this hotel.

The music for every meal was Dancing Queen, and this music was a little harsh from the morning. It's a shame because if the music had been a little quieter and more beautiful, it would have gone well with the meal and made it more enjoyable.

2023.12.26[1 night and 2 meals included] (Meal is Iyo beef x Hime pork double steak). It was the best! For meals, we moved to the dining room in the adjacent sister building (Hana Yuzuki). The main meat was already prepared, and after being guided to our seats, the tempura was brought to us. Everything was delicious! At the buffet, you can enjoy all kinds of sashimi. The rice buffet includes taimeshi and white rice, and you can make your own taimeshi by topping white rice with sashimi and eggs. The tempura is freshly fried and crispy, and the meat is juicy and tender. Is the sea bream head boiled? The sweet and rich flavor is delicious!Breakfast is also served at the same venue, and horse mackerel atka mackerel is prepared in advance. You can enjoy a variety of dishes at the buffet. We have everything from miso soup, eggs, and salads to simmered foods, sausages, and even local foods like jakoten and shirasu! It was healthy and luxurious from the morning! !The location is good, it's a short walk from the main building of Dogo Onsen, and there's a convenience store nearby, so I didn't have any particular inconveniences. It was an inn that I would like to use again!

I stayed here while visiting customers for business in the area. It is near the hot springs which is nice but was not really what I’d call a comfortable hotel room. I understand it is more of a traditional hotel near the hot springs and the focus must be the hot springs. It was not my cup of tea to go to the hot springs so I did not go there. The bed was pretty hard and the pillows were not very comfortable. The bathroom was super small. Sitting on the toilet my knees were touching the wall in front of me and I’m not very tall (5’9”). The staff was ok but I didn’t have much interaction. It’s up a pretty steep hill to get into so be aware. It was a short walk from a street marketplace which was nice. However I think I’d try to find a bit nicer hotel in the area if I return.

The best part is the hot springs. There are no different types of bathtubs, and it is a simple hot spring. Since it's old, there are some inconveniences, such as the hot water from the faucet not getting hot, but it gives the impression that it's an old-fashioned hot spring hotel that you can enjoy even with that. In the changing room, there is also a chronology that explains the history of Dogo Onsen, which you can read with great interest. The inn itself is old, so it is not suitable for those who are looking for the latest luxury, but I think it is suitable for those who are looking for a so-called secluded hot spring hotel. For this visit, there was no place to eat inside the building, so we had to walk to the adjacent hotel.
