Second visit. The last time I went was in winter, but I wanted to take a bath at Kajika-no-Yu, which is located along the river, so I visited at the end of summer. The building and equipment are old, but you can relax by yourself. The rice was delicious, and of course the hot water was great. I'll come back later.

An inn that only people who think Showa retro is emotional should come to. I feel like a great writer who has come to write. The exterior looks old and the rooms are small. I don't know about the rest, but in the room I stayed in, the toilet was outside and there was a ``window con''. But that's it! Good!! ︎For those who want to fully enjoy the Showa era and enjoy time alone doing nothing. Recommended. Oh, by the way, all you smokers. It can't be helped that the rooms are non-smoking because it's Reiwa. Ashtrays are located next to the entrance and in the footbath arbor in front of you. It's fun to wear geta and have a drink in the pavilion.

One bus from Tokyo.Since the hotel is far away, we can provide transportation.Highly recommended if you want to spend some quiet time alone.I was born in the Showa era, so I feel nostalgic for the Showa era.The care shown in the food is also evident. Some reviews say that the tempura is cold, but I don't think they understand how difficult it is to serve meals in your room at this price with a small number of employees. If you want to eat piping hot food in your room, I think you should pay three times as much and go elsewhere.Above all, Kajika no Yu was the best.I would like to ask you again.thank you very much.

It is located a little outside of Shima Onsen town. The baths are of course fed by natural hot spring water, and although they are not large, you can enjoy multiple baths. This inn is recommended for those seeking tranquility.

▪️Usage plan▪️ [Includes half board] Rural kaiseki self-plan▪️Purpose of use ▪️As a hot spring bath at Manza Onsen.▪️Toilet ▪️Shared for men and women▪️Scenery▪️We were very fortunate to have ``Kajikayu'', which is available only in the summer, on the side of a stream. It is extremely soothing and effective. Swimsuits are allowed, so please wear them. Approximately 740m above sea level.▪️Meals ▪️Eating and breakfast were served in the room (may vary depending on the season, so please check with the staff). The meals were satisfying.▪️Hot springs▪️Each bathtub was crowded, but I was able to enjoy the atmosphere.▪️Indoors▪️It was clean. There are only stairs, so please be careful if you are not confident in your legs.▪️Transportation▪️We recommend a car. If you take the bus, you will need to make arrangements until check-in. From the Shima Onsen bus stop, it takes less than 30 minutes to walk to the inn.▪️Overall review▪️I'm very satisfied. A perfect inn for mental recovery. As long as you follow the rules, you can take a bath 24 hours a day, and even though the cost of maintaining the facilities until you go to Kajikayu is quite expensive, I felt the staff's dedication. I would like to visit you again on a weekday around July. Since it is nature, it is necessary to coexist with insects. Personally, I don't want to tell anyone about it because it's a good inn ^ ^

When I called Shima Onsen and said I wanted to use it for a day trip based on the information posted on the day trip hot spring page, I was told that I couldn't understand what they were saying, but that they would not accept my request. The person in charge was a man, but I was surprised by the extremely unpleasant response I received, which I didn't expect from a hot spring inn.
