Accommodation is decent, because the walls are very thin, it can be quite noisy, and the bedroom we were in did smell offensive so we moved our futons to the living room. Staff was kind in providing incense to help, but the green tea incense did not neutralize the smell but rather added to it, and I understand that burning stick incense could trigger fire detectors. The public onsen are spectacular, foreigners please note that tattoos are explicitly not allowed, but perhaps tolerated late at night. I was able to use the public onsen very late at night without issue with full tattoo sleeves, but I think I did make Japanese customers feel uncomfortable, perhaps it was just because I was nervous. The free drinks (water, green tea, beer) are nice and the included restaurant food is fantastic, so long as your stomach is used to Japanese food. Please do try the local Gunma sake. Overall I would rate 4 stars, it was below my expectations for the price (~$600 USD/night) compared to my experience in Hakone.

I used it to celebrate my friend's birthday.Nothing to say, the room also has an open-air bath.In particular, all the food was delicious and there were a lot of items.I was full, and the waiter's attitude was also great. It's a pity that I was full from dinner and couldn't eat the Yacuri Soba.I would like to stay there again! I'm glad I chose this accommodation.

Almost all facilities are shared with the neighboring Konoha. The entrance/check-in lobby is dedicated to Tokino Niwa, and there are people waiting to greet you, but once you have finished registering for your stay, you will be guided to the rest area of the Konoha common facility, saying, ``It will be crowded, so why don't you move to the rest area?'' Is there no point in separating the entrances? The public baths are common, the private hot springs are also common (there is no priority, so you always have to wait in line), and the food is a buffet at Konoha and a private restaurant at Tokinoiwa, but the food was not delicious. Everything was cold except for the things on the table. Cold tempura tastes too bad. ``You can choose as many small dishes as you like from the head chef.'' Well, isn't that just leftovers from the buffet next door? What's so special about it? (LOL)All rooms in Toki no Niwa have open-air baths, but they are not free-flowing, so it is a bit of a hassle to collect hot water. The size of the bath is about the same as the unit bath at a business hotel, so you won't be able to stretch your legs. Moreover, it is completely visible from the Konoha guest room across the street (lol)No, really, why are they separated by Konoha and Ki no Niwa? ? Wouldn't it be better to sell it as a suite in the same facility? ? I feel very disappointed. . .

Inn:△Service:△Cooking:×The receptionist's intimidating attitude, I will just tell them that I am a woman, but is there anything I can do about it?There is no guidance to the room. The inside of the room was very old and there was a lot of bugs running around on the floor and climbing up the walls to get them and throw them in the trash can.The characteristic sulfur smell of Kusatsu is slight, and perhaps because it is Urakusatsu, people who like smells may not be satisfied with it.The room is small and the only amenities are a toothbrush. The food was so terrible that it made me sad. Among them, if you choose Teppanyaki, the iron plate that the previous person probably used was brought in, and it was confirmed that it was dirty. I didn't feel like eating anymore and ended it.I go back to my room, take a bath, and go to sleep, but I can't get the squirt out of my head and wonder if it's still there somewhere. I went to bed thinking that.Breakfast is served at the same location as the dinner venue.Dinner was terrible, but breakfast had big fish fillets and was satisfying⚪︎SummaryI strongly felt that the employees were not well-trained. This has led to an overall decline in the image of quality. Since it is a mammoth ryokan, the service to each person has deteriorated, and I think this is a result of giving top priority to completing work, but since I stayed there after [Fufu Sunshine Wind] the day before, the negative aspects were even more noticeable. .This inn has been designated as an investment destination by Mitsui & Co. Digital Asset Management and Decidal Securities, and the facility was certainly well-maintained, but since it is a REIT securities investment, I hope that they will put the customer's perspective and customer satisfaction first. I will. It goes without saying that after experiencing a ryokan, you can decide whether or not it is a good place to invest.

This is a hot spring inn with good facilities, service, and food. However, it was disappointing that the food on the second night of the consecutive nights was worse than the first night in both breakfast and dinner. The large public bath is open for men and women, and the right side is a large cloudy open-air bath, but the left side is a little narrower and the quality of the spring water is different, so I felt there was quite a difference.
