I went to dig for stones for the first time in a while, but heavy machinery had entered the riverbank.River construction was underway 😆Stone quarrying in the cold weather. As expected, there was no one else in this cold weather. I was able to search slowly.I spent about an hour looking for rare stones floating down the Kirishima Mountain Range. There was nothing new so I went home early (lol)Since it's winter, the amount of water is low.Kirihara Falls was also quiet ~☺️There was a little snow left.

There is a parking lot and a toilet. The sound of the river calms your mind. It is a quiet place rich in nature.

2022 Words from locals during the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, summer events such as catching yamame trout are no longer held, and the number of existing mountain stream fish 🐟 is drastically decreasing due to damage from floods. Perhaps because of this, fishing in the river is prohibited, which is a very disappointing situation for the locals. This is a situation that I would like to see addressed by at least setting up a C&R (catch and release) section.I would like to have an explanation as to why and what kind of things a campground manager should bring to prohibit fishing. The current situation is disappointing, it has lost its charm, and even locals have no desire to go there. Isn't this a campsite with rules? ️ I personally purchase recreational fishing tickets for the Oyodo River system and go fishing, so if there is a place where fishing is prohibited, there should be a clearly designated area where fishing is prohibited. However, I would like it to be announced in an easy-to-understand manner (for small children).

After touring Mizonokuchi Cave, Sanren Todoro Falls, Kirihara Falls, and the geosites in Soo City, I came here for a preview. It's located along the beautiful Mizonokuchi River, so you can feel the coolness. The river pool in front of the campsite is shallow and safe to play in. There is also a jabu-jabu pond on the premises, where even small children can play. There were playground equipment and a donkey farm, so it felt more like a family-friendly place.Open from April 1st to the end of October. We are closed every Monday and the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, except during summer vacation. It seems to be quite crowded during summer vacation (especially since the coronavirus pandemic). Reservations will be required.Crossing the bridge from the parking lot on the road side is the administration building, 6 bungalows, 1 large bungalow (20 people), 13 permanent tents, and 2 rental tents. This campsite allows you to drive your car in and out when loading and unloading your luggage. There is a separate auto campsite located a little further in the direction of Eternal Forest. The space is not very large, and it feels like pitching a tent in the parking lot, so the outdoor feeling may be weak. The cost of bringing your own tent to the auto campsite is 2,090 yen per night, which is cheaper than in the city, but much more expensive than Kokubu Camp Beach.Kirihara Falls is very close by, as well as Sanren Todoro Falls and Mizonokuchi Cave, so feel free to stretch your legs. However, please be careful as there are some narrow roads where it is impossible to pass each other (there are some places where you can pass each other).
