1,200 years since the hot spring openedDeyu Onsenkyo, whose symbol is the ancient temple Keho-ji Temple and where the legend of Kobo Daishi is passed down, is a place that can truly be called a mountain village in Japan. Surrounded by the forest, it is tranquil. It even feels divine. It's also fun to take a walk. There are four inns and two public baths. Both have separate sources and you can visit the hot springs. The Oishiya-san we stayed at was a two-story wooden inn with a pure Japanese style.Although it was not new, it was well-maintained, very quiet, and had a somewhat nostalgic feel. There is a large public bath with free-flowing baths for men and women, and you can take a bath from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The hot water is clear and soft to the touch. I felt like my body was getting better. One of the pleasures of staying at an inn is the food. Every item was carefully prepared and had a hearty taste. Especially since Niigata is a rice-producing region, the rice is delicious. The people staying at the hotel are also kind and welcoming. No complaints whatsoever. The prices are reasonable, even cheaper.I think this is the perfect inn to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, relax and forget about time, and heal your fatigue.

The hot springs and food were good. The host was also kind, polite, and attentive. If I had to say it strongly, would you say that the smell of air fresheners bothers you?I think if they could improve this area, I would be able to spend a more comfortable time...
