Excellent guesthouse in the old city close to everything you need. I spent a total of 8 days there. The room is small with a private toilet and shower, there is an air conditioner, a fan and also a venta to refresh the room. The shower and toilet are small, but for the price of 300 baht per night it was excellent and worthwhile. For a single traveler or an unspoiled couple this is an excellent room, I was very comfortable and that's why I went back there again. There is a facility for refilling water on the 2nd floor, including a kettle, fridge and free coffee station. The staff is great. I recommend the place.

Having visited Chiang Mai over 20 years ago, I found Lanna Hostel is the closest to the authentic Thai hostel experience you can get today in the rapidly changing city. The staff were very helpful and friendly in suggesting good restaurants and places that are off the beaten path. Rooms are on the smaller scale but super clean and comfortable. Given it’s a budget stay, this place is a gem.

I enjoyed my stay at lanna hostel! The staff is kind, beds are comfortabel, airconditioning works good (even a little on the colder side), wifi works perfect and its so nice that you can crab cold water and fill your bottle!

What a cozy hostel with good vibes. Adequate price and very nice staff. If you arrive after hours, there is a number to contact them. Good ubication. You have fresh water and coffee at your disposal for free.

Nice visit to this hotel, staff are super friendly, rooms are clean, ours was on the smaller side. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything from the rooms next door. Great location and price

Very good hostel for its price. The rooms are clean and nice. Large and comfortable beds, warm bedding. There were no worms. We had a spacious balcony in the room overlooking the street, where you can sit.The staff is very nice, helpful and speaks good English. Free chilled bottled water is available at the hostel. If you arrive before check-in, you can wait with free tea/coffee and a place to sit. WiFi was quite good, but it was weak in our room.Minor defects in the bathroom (towel hanger falling off).Very nice location. Close to the center and a lot of good restaurants and evening bars nearby.

One of my best stays travelling, the place has a homely feel to it and rooms are great value & it is situated conveniently in old town.Ness and the staff were so so lovely and helpful and made my stay as a solo female traveller so much easier, id also really recommend it as a neurodivergent and disability friendly space 💌

The hotel owner is cute, friendly, warm, and the rooms are a suitable size for the price. The hotel is close to shops, restaurants, markets. The bathroom, when you finish showering, has a little water leaking out of the bathroom, causing the floor to be wet. Overall it is considered good 👍

The hotel room owner (new person) and the lovely staff provide very good service. They speak well, helping and recommending places to visit. All services are good (comments received from services from this hotel). If I have the opportunity to travel again next time, I will definitely go back and stay.

This was a great place to stay in Chiang Mai, especially for the price. It's the perfect location, relatively close to the bus station, but also in the Old Town. The hostel (it's called a hostel, but I think it's only private rooms) was quite clean, although the shower in the shared bathroom (for the dorms) was broken. Of course, our room was ensuite, which was great. Our only hiccus were checking in, and connecting to the internet (our room was furthest from the router). So while the stay wasn't perfect, I would definitely recommend Lanna Hostel, and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Don’t be fooled by the beautiful pictures! ! ! The hostel has no services, the room is very small and shabby, like a prison cell, and there is a smell of urine coming from nowhere in the room! This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in in over ten years of traveling! Just because I believed the pictures and other people’s reviews.

Although the location is good, the atmosphere of the hotel was a bit scary, and there were many accidents such as the room key not opening. I will not stay there next time.

I had heard that Chiang Mai in March is cool, so I stayed in a room without air conditioning, but it was hot at around 35 degrees Celsius every day, so it was horrible to be in the room lol. Moreover, the window of the private room on the third floor was only on the corridor side, so there was almost no ventilation, and although there was a fan, it was mostly hot air and it was difficult to sleep.However, the showers and other facilities were neat and clean, and the interior, which was an old wooden private house that had been renovated, was stylish, and you took off your shoes at the entrance, so the hallways weren't dirty either. The front desk staff speaks English well, and although you might think it's far from the center, there are many cheap restaurants and inns in the area, and there is a bus stop that takes you to the airport within a 5-minute walk, as well as a small supermarket. I don't think it would be a big problem if you have an air conditioned room. (Information for 2018)

The air conditioner stop working since 2am, bad service, noDrinking water for guest said that I didn’t go out and buy yet and when return from go out still have no any. I do paid for air con room but stay as fan using and now can’t sleep ,even blankets also look old and used, the contact number not working. For this price you can go for other places better..

This may be the only place where you can get a single room with air conditioning at this price.The property's location is quiet, but it is susceptible to noise. Even the sound of the toilet flushing from the next room can be heard quite loudly. The room is small, but not bad for staying alone. The problem is that the bathroom is very small, and if you are taller than 180cm, it will feel cramped.Still, the fact that there is a bathroom and air conditioning inside is an advantage.There is no one at the counter on the first floor. It's always invisible. This is disappointing for anyone who requests something or has an inquiry.This hostel’s biggest advantage is its reasonable price👍🏻

The hotel is well located, that’s all. Not soundproof. We had rooms with windows and we had a tiny damp room with no windows. Not very clean space. Dirty shower curtains. Poorly designed bathroom. The only positive thing is hot water. No one at reception at all times. 500bth is worth 300 baht no services and poorly designed space.
