It’s a historic hotel, clean, and the food is delicious. Because you need to pick up and drop off from Matsushiro Station to the hotel to participate in the Land Art Festival, the owner personally picked up and dropped you off many times, charging only a small fare. It’s a very sincere hotel. It’s really nice to stay here. happiness!

I've always wanted to visit Matsunoyama Onsen, one of Japan's three major medicinal hot springs. This is a secluded hot spring inn that stands quietly in the middle of nowhere. Probably because it's a weekday, there aren't many tourists. The room was a Japanese style, tidy and very clean. Room 301 wi-fi connection is poor. The only hot spring available is the indoor bath on the top floor. The hot water spout is said to be clogged with hot spring ingredients and no hot water will come out. Circulated hot water is coming out from the bottom of the bath. But hot water is the best. The hot spring ingredients are 15g, and it is a chloride spring with a lot of sodium. It is exactly like fossil seawater hot water. The food was very delicious. I had a relaxing and quiet stay.

It was a shame that the hot spring in the bath had a malfunction, so it was like a circulating bath.

Twelve years ago, the two of us often went there for a day trip. The hot spring area was large.

It is a reasonably priced hot spring inn in Matsunoyama Onsenkyo, and the indoor bath is not too hot. I keep coming back because everything is comfortable, but I would be even happier if they could accommodate solo guests and stay overnight without meals.

Matsunoyama Onsen Nomoto Ryokan is a ryokan with a history of over 150 years, but it is characterized by a warm atmosphere that combines traditional Japanese architecture with modern comfort. The rooms overlook the mountains and river, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons. Hot springs fed directly from the source are famous for their high temperatures. The meals are well-known for using local ingredients and offer seasonal flavors. The equipment was a bit old and the washlet was broken, but this may have been because there weren't many other customers when I visited, but after the food was served, I didn't feel rushed and just sat there. I am very glad that I was able to spend time with my relatives in a relaxed manner.

I stayed here on a ski trip in February 2014.I looked at the website in advance, but what I was concerned about was that there were no non-smoking rooms, and that it was described as a family-run business that felt like home.*Buildings etc*When you actually go there, you can feel the history of the building, but although the interior is not brand new, it is clean! There may be some cigarettes in the lobby. It's not like I'll be there for that long. There was a reception desk, a lobby with sofas and books in the back, and a ski locker in the back! ← You can also enter from the roadThe bath is large with an L-shaped bathtub. Personally, I felt hot. There is no particular problem.*room*Since we were a large group, we had an 18 tatami Japanese-style room. There is a tea room, a safe, and the interior is quite beautiful! When I returned from dinner, the futon was laid out. There was no problem with the heating, and although there were many glass surfaces, the view was simple enough to just see the trees on the mountain opposite. Oh, there is an irrigation canal running from the waterfall, but it's very shallow, so I don't think the noise will bother you that much.*parking*Built-in garage next to the 1st floor entrance? There are 5 or 6 cars in some places. Second, a few moreThe space next to the entrance is exquisitely spacious, so you'll have to squeeze in to get in, so you'll need to give the key to the staff (they'll move the car around). Parking is possible even with a 4WD or one-box carrier.*Rice*There are surprisingly many side dishes and you will be full! As expected from Yonedokoro Niigata! White rice is also delicious! !There was a certain amount of staff, and I felt they were efficient and the customer service was kind. The contents of the meal are different for infants and elementary school students, so it's safe to bring your children! !*staff*I wonder if the receptionist is a family member! ? When I asked a lot of questions, I was able to get detailed explanations! Also, when I checked out, he came out of the way outside the front door and waved at me until I was far away, which made me so happy!Because it is located in a small hot spring town, there are souvenir shops, ramen shops, cafes, footbaths, and day-trip hot springs within walking distance.
