Located at the end of an alley known as ``Hebimichi'', the town is a renovated old inn, and the name ``Machi Yado'' seems fitting. The inside of the building was compact, and it was a nostalgic inn for the Showa generation, new for modern people, and a Japanese-style inn for people from overseas. The staff was very responsive (although they had to visit the room more than necessary), and they responded efficiently to guests from overseas. I also had a lot of questions asked at the reception (lol). The reception (the front desk in a hotel?) and meals are at hagiso (separate building, adjacent), but it's a 1-2 minute walk. The food is also good and delicious. The miso for the miso soup I had for breakfast and the beans for the coffee I drank were on sale, so I bought some as souvenirs. The room I stayed in was a single room, so it was compact at about 4.5 tatami mats, but it was clean and had the smell of tatami mats, making it very relaxing. The building itself is old, so I could hear some noise from the next room, but I didn't have any problems (maybe it bothers some people?)The toilet was outside the room, but it was for each guest, so I felt safe and relieved (lol). The shower and washroom were shared, but I was able to use them without competing with anyone (lol) Problem. none.I got a ticket to a nearby public bath and went around town, and at the public bath I drank bottled milk while chatting with local ladies! Is there a Nakamise restaurant called “Yanaka Ginza” nearby? A shopping district? There was also a compact Asakusa where I was able to eat and buy a lot of things. It was the perfect accommodation for enjoying a walk around town.

The concept is that the entire town is an inn.The accommodation building. The building has been renovated to take advantage of its age,Very comfortable. The commitment and thoughts of the people involved everywhereIt's clogged. The basic plan includes a public bath and breakfast. The public bath, the breakfast, and the townIt's not luxurious by any means, but it's full of hospitality. You can spend a very luxurious time here.I would like you to use it to refresh your life and life.

Absolutely gorgeous little hotel, exceptional service, and in a wonderful location. Only negative is that the walls are paper thin, so expect to be able to hear anything louder than conversational voices (and assume they can hear anything louder than conversational voices!)

Interesting place. Comfortable futon-style beds. Rather small rooms, nowhere to open/unpack cases or hang clothes. Very steep stairs.

It is a small inn built as part of local regeneration. It is less than 100 meters from the first facility of local regeneration. The concept of regional regeneration was to create hotels at the village level. You can sleep at an inn and use a bathing ticket to go to the local bathhouse of your choice. Use local restaurants and shop at markets and stores. When you make a reservation at this inn, you will first receive guidance at the hagi office. You can see the story and photos of how it started, and it explains how to use the inn. It felt like I was on a tour rather than checking in. It took about an hour. It was an unusual experience. It is a two-story house. 3 or 4 rooms on each floor? I think there was some. There are two communal bathrooms and one communal bathroom on each floor. It was inconvenient that there was only one bathroom. It is a special place where I have many memories, such as Hagiso Cafe where I read the morning newspaper and had breakfast, relieved my fatigue with a bath after returning from sightseeing, and stopped by the bar afterwards, and the village market.
