Cyashitsu feels like a second home! Upon arrival, we were treated to a cup of fresh tea and dessert while the staff shared more about the area and the Ryokan itself. …

We had an absolutely amazing stay here! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, honestly this was the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. The building itself is beautiful and relaxing. The rooms were lovely as well, the beds were very comfortable and there is plenty of extra cushions in the room if you’d like more support. The location is also fantastic, you have the flexibility to explore Asakusa during off hours when it’s less busy. So many cool restaurants, cafes, and bars. And the staff gave us many wonderful recommendations. We cannot recommend this place more! Don’t hesitate to book here. We will be back on our next trip to Tokyo.

I went with some friends in March. Service was fantastic and the staff were so kind and friendly. They made sure to accommodate for our dietary needs with the breakfast they made for us, which was delicious every morning. The rooms were beautiful and felt so relaxing. The bathroom for the room with the bath is separate from the main room area but since it’s the only room on that floor you don’t have to worry about sharing. The bath has a lovely garden with a great view of Tokyo tower. It’s a short walk to the sensoji temple which is an absolute must see and I 100% recommend walking there. From the temple it’s only a short walk to the train station so it’s a great location to stay if you want to see more of Tokyo. Would definitely stay here again when I go back to Japan!

Check-in is very intimate and personable. You’re given a welcome snack and drink, and staff will explain to you the hotel and get you settled in. It was really welcoming. The room is beautiful and there’s plenty of storage for luggage. The lights are quite dim, but that is what they’re going for. So if you don’t mind that, you will love it.The private bath is amazing to experience, especially when you remember you are in Tokyo! All the staff are lovely and very helpful. They helped us book an early morning taxi to the airport, even leaving us some bread for the journey! And thank you Taiga-san for your late night dinner recommendation, it helped us a lot :)I hope I can stay here again when I come back to Tokyo.

A joy to stay here! The staff are welcoming and perfectly attentive. The cozy traditional rooms are a wonderful way to experience the feel of a ryokan. The private, open air rooftop bath is a perfect way to wind down. The breakfast was spectacular and beautifully arranged. Quiet neighborhood allows you to forget you are in the world’s largest metropolitan area.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Japanese-style hotel.Firstly, the room facilities were far from high quality. The bathroom had a strong unpleasant odor due to the drains, which significantly disturbed my rest. Additionally, the soundproofing in the room was poor. However, the most frustrating part was the dinner service. It was incredibly noisy during the dinner period. They played loud rock music, which was very disruptive. To make matters worse, a family with young children was seated at the table next to mine. I don’t understand why such an expensive and supposedly high-end ryokan would accommodate families like this. The children were extremely loud, and the staff made no effort to address the situation. I was initially seated at the bar, which was very uncomfortable for a dinner that cost 12,000 yen. The price was absolutely not worth the experience. Finally, the ventilation in the room was also very loud, which added to the overall discomfort. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and quality stay.

Wish we could have stayed longer here. Everything about this place is awesome. The rooms were exceptional, the private open air bath was a beautiful experience, and the staff went above and beyond to give us the best service. They served us the most delicious vegan breakfasts in our room. Thank you to all the lovely staff here for making this experience so wonderful.
