Very unique, great price lodging. The owner is so sweet and kind. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast with tons of small plates. The location is perfect to visit the art fields. This typical Japanese style lodging was one of the most different places I've stated throughout the world. The rooms are very basic and minimal. Overall a great experience!

This time we participated in the Echigo-Tsumari Land Art Festival and visited this place. I stayed at Bandai B&B for two nights two days ago to experience the life of a Niigata farmhouse. On the first day, we got off the plane from Niigata City and went straight to the countryside. We arrived at the B&B relatively late, beyond the scheduled check-in time. Fortunately, the B&B did not lock the door and left a light in the entrance for us. We were very touched. We seemed to have booked a king-size room by accident, so it was very comfortable and spacious, with a green rice field outside in the morning. Breakfast is also very rich. The B&B run by grandparents is worth revisiting.

Even though we were using the RV park for consecutive nights, we moved to another location on the second day.We moved to the rice field and couldn't even open the windows because of the smell of sludge.

It is difficult for those who are sensitive to cold.There was no hot water to wash my hands, and since it was winter, I used cold water.When I asked later, I was told that hot water only comes from the sink in the back of the bathroom in the basement.I wish you had told me from the beginning...It was quite cold both when I went to the bathroom and when I left.But the rice was delicious.As expected, Tokamachi is a rice-producing region.The room cannot be locked from the outside.The threshold is thin, so you can hear the sounds of other people's lives.Might be tough if you're nervousThere was a kotatsu and it felt like home.Looks like it would be good to use from spring to fall! I think.

The location allows you to reach Nozawa Onsen and the Hakkaisan area within an hour.The rooms at the guesthouse are partitioned by sliding doors. You don't have a key, so it's best to keep your valuables in your car. The bath is a home bath. Creative cooking? Home cooking. The rice is delicious.Parking available. freeBecause it is a fusuma, you can hear voices, so earplugs are a must. It got quiet at 8 o'clock. Futon on tatami. There is a kotatsu.

A few years ago, when I came to Tokamachi for work, I stayed with her for half a year, and since then I've been coming back every year to stay with my wife privately...!With an active father who not only works as a farmer but also runs a guest house and is a top-notch dancer, and a caring mother who is good at cooking, we have a relaxing and safe time as if we had returned to our parents' home in the countryside. It's a place where you can spend time...!The view from where you eat is beautiful, and if the conditions are good, you can often enjoy breakfast while looking out at the sea of clouds.Most of the customers who come here are repeat customers, and many customers come not only from all over the country but also from overseas, and they go home very satisfied... It's a very good guesthouse!We also accommodate customers in campers, so please come and visit with your family!
