We stayed for one night in early October.I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but after going there, I realized it wasn't that bad. However, I didn't have dinner, and instead of taking a bath at the hotel, I went to the hot spring next door, so I don't know the details. The man who helped me at the front desk was very nice. The room was also clean. When I contacted the front desk to ask something, there was nothing unpleasant about it.It's far from the hot spring next door...lolThere may be a big hotel, but it was far away. And, as someone wrote, I take off my slippers and walk barefoot! There's even an elevator💦Of course, everyone takes off their shoes there, so I guess it's clean, but...If I don't have slippers, I'd like to wear socks if possible. The open-air bath had colored lights and was beautiful, but it was a rainy day so it was a bit off.I think there were two types of hot water: regular clear hot water and brown hot water.I saw a sign saying there was a free gym, but I ended up checking out without checking there. There seemed to be a photo booth outside the building, so it looked like it would be a little more fun.It was the season for new rice, so the rice was delicious! But it's a bit hard and a bit disappointing. The view was great!I don't know the details thoughMy husband and I thought it would be a good idea to stay there the next time we go to Niigata!

A hotel with great views, facilities, and customer service. But it's very reasonable.

There are some positive elements here and there, such as a bath with a nice view, but it feels like the space is too large and cannot be managed properly.

Hmmm 😅 The building and guest rooms are clean, but the vending machines inside that sell alcohol etc. aren't turned on so you can't use them, and the staff at the front desk aren't very friendly and are hardly ever there. I think the price is also high. I wonder if there will be a next time...

I used it for the first time in 8 years, waiting for it to reopen after it was renovated. However, was the room I stayed in excluded? The small rushes stuck to various things on the tatami mats, and when I put black clothes on them, they stuck almost all over the surface and were difficult to remove. There was water left in the tank inside the air purifier, and red mold had spread all over the lid of the tank, so I washed it in the sink before using it.The air flow of the dryer is weak and you have to press the button while drying.Unfortunately, the carpet in the room had a wide range of stains that looked like coffee had been spilled on it. The basket that had the yukata in it was filled with dust from between the yukata pieces. You need to provide your own futon. I am dissatisfied with the fact that the accommodation fee is higher than that of a Western-style room. The pot is the traditional tall type. Water is from a vending machine. But it's sold out.The extension phone from the room didn't ring, perhaps because it was a poor contact or because it was old, so I ended up going down to the front desk.I think the food is delicious. I had to go to Kawaguchi Onsen, which is attached to the hotel, for dinner, and although I could go there from inside, it was a pain that I had to take off my slippers to enter.Breakfast used to be served in bowls, but this time it was cooked individually in small pots that could hold about 1 cup. Is it due to the influence of the coronavirus pandemic? The amount of breakfast is large, so if the rice is served in a pot, I won't be able to eat it all, so it's a waste. I felt like holding a rice ball. The scenery and the hot springs (at the hotel) are both really nice. However, campers pitched their tents right in front of the accommodation building, lit bonfires, and made a lot of noise. There were also dogs. The beautiful scenery was ruined. Even when I was eating, I couldn't calm down because there was a camper right in front of me. I don't care if it's further away, but it's so close that it's a bit annoying. This is the only place to stay in Kawaguchi, so I think I'll stay here again, but I wish they would do something a little better. Although I think they don't have enough manpower, I think they need at least a service that is commensurate with their needs.

The location is great, and the ski slopes are right in front of the hotel, so you can enjoy winter to the fullest.
