Dat is unlike any other host! Before my arrival, he provided an extensive guide that explained how to get to the house, how to self check-in and about the facilities in the area, which really eased my mind. During my entire stay, Dat was extremely supportive and responsive whenever I had any questions. You get your privacy and rest, but it's nice that there's always someone to help. The house itself is clean and tidy, very well maintained. I couldn't wish for a better place to stay than Dat's House :)

Great affordable place to stay in Tokyo. The room was very clean and Dat was a great host. The location is a little out of the way but it’s a very short walk to the train station and the train takes you anywhere you want to go. Make sure to text Dat on WhatsApp, he’ll give you the lowest rate that way! There’s also a family mart and 7-eleven nearby. It’s a great place to stay while you’re exploring Tokyo.

My mother in law had a great stay at Dat's House. A short walk from Ojima station, so you can get anywhere quite quickly. The owner is very friendly and speaks English well. Any questions via WhatsApp are answered quickly, super! Definitely a nice homebase for exploring Tokyo. Thanks!

It seemed too good to be true - and honestly I can't believe that I was so lucky to have found Dat's place. I stayed for a month in the larger room on the 1st floor as I was working in Tokyo.Location was amazing, quiet and still easy to get around. Restaurants and supermarkets on walking distance. Accommodation was clean (I am fussy and have allergies and had nothing to complain about), you have access to a washing machine/dryer for a very small fee. Wifi is great.Dat will help you with anything you need, will make you feel at home from day one and has everything well thought through. For example: I received a message on how to exactly get from the station to the home with and without a heavy suitcase - I mean! Did I mention that i will miss this place? Back in Tokyo I will definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Dat's place—this was my first solo trip to Tokyo and I really wanted a peaceful and pleasant experience and Dat's place and himself as a host delivered on all fronts. The place and room were exactly the quaint and homey experience I envisioned of a Japanese style traditional room, and I felt like I was an exchange student or foster child in Dat's home. He was very helpful with any questions or requests I had, and was very warm and accommodating all throughout. Also responds very quickly and completely, and his instructions are very thorough and well explained. His son is also very cute and friendly which added to the experience. Even if the place may not be in the middle of all the action in Tokyo, it's accessible by train and bus pretty much anywhere, and the neighborhood provides the quiet escape from the craziness of Shibuya or Shinjuku after a ling day All in all, would highly recommend Dat and his home for first-time and returning Tokyo visitors!

Very comfortable and clean shared house in a peaceful neighborhood ! I enjoyed my stay here very much. My host Dat was very kind and he always made sure I had everything I needed! This place is located conveniently from Ojima train station (less than 10 minute walk), lots of small restaurants nearby, a convenience store, and many drink vending machines on the way. Shower/bath/toilets were all modern and clean and the in house laundry machine was excellent. You have the choice between a traditional Japanese tatami style bedroom or a western style room. The tatami room was a wonderful experience. I had everything I needed here. I really appreciate oated Dat's kindness and hospitality. I hope to visit again on my next trip to Japan.
