I traveled from Tokyo just to see this hotel. It was a celebration of my mother's recovery and my parents' wedding anniversary.I came here after hearing from a friend from Toyama that ``Inami, a town in Toyama, is really nice these days.I really recommend this hotel.''Everything about my stay was great!I would like to stay at TATEGU-YA again, and I would also like to stay in the other rooms or accommodation buildings someday...!This time we stayed with 4 adults.I would like to bring my children when they are a little older.TATEGU-YA was originally built by the architect who renovated this old private house to live in for himself, and you can see that the kitchen, bath, living and dining areas were all carefully designed. Ta. I was thrilled to be able to stay in such a home filled with so much attention to detail.Works by Inami carving artist Takaaki Tanaka are displayed in the room.First of all, there is Mizu-chan standing at the entrance. It looked soft and gentle. There are other cute kids out there, so please look for them around the house.Azaleas were blooming in the small garden. It was a long trip from Tokyo, so I was a little tired when I arrived, but the good news was that the hotel provided enough toiletries, pajamas, and towels, so I didn't have to worry about my own luggage. It was easy and didn't make a mess. The room was large and had a high ceiling, making it a relaxing stay. You can send messages to the concierge using the tablet in your room. The key was a PIN number, so I didn't have to worry about losing it, so it was easy. The slippers are comfortable to wear, and there are large umbrellas that you can borrow. I didn't have to spend time with a folding umbrella while traveling, and I felt that I was able to reach those itchy areas.Although the house is spacious, it is well-maintained and the air inside the house is clean. There were no handrails on the stairs, so it was a little scary until I got used to it, but the second floor is just a bedroom. There is also a bedroom on the first floor, so you can spend your time alone on the first floor. There is one bedroom on the first floor. My mother, who has bad legs, slept on the first floor. There are also several bedrooms on the second floor. The bed was soft and the bedding was comfortable. Pajamas were also available in different sizes. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils. The bathroom is large and you can relax by soaking in the hot water while looking out at the garden. The bathtub is cute. There is a large closet or rather a small room. There was also a washing machine. The furniture and small accessories are sophisticated and very nice.Guests can apply for activities taught by artists, so I applied for a spoon-making experience with Takaaki Tanaka. Surprisingly, my father, who was over 60 years old, was the most excited when I applied.I was able to sit in the workshop where Mr. Tanaka usually creates his works. Surrounded by the many plants and miscellaneous goods that Mr. Tanaka collects and cares for, we borrowed Mr. Tanaka's more than 200 types of fleas.Mr. Tanaka not only taught us how to make spoons, but also taught us about the town of Inami and Inami carvings. The most impressive part of my stay was hearing directly from artists and writers and being able to make spoons. After that, I took a walk around the town and saw the sculptures, the craftsmen, the streetscape of old folk houses lined with workshops, and the history and size of Zuisenji Temple. Thanks to Mr. Tanaka's explanation, I was able to understand them better. I will.Since I had just carved it myself, I felt even more strongly the difficulty and beauty of carving, and it remained with me deeply as an experience rather than just a tour or sightseeing.Inami carving workshops are lined up in front of the gates of Zuisenji Temple, and sculptures are displayed on the eaves, and cat sculptures are hidden for tourists. The city is full of art, and it reminds me of Naoshima in Kagawa Prefecture. I did.I stayed on a plan that included dinner and breakfast.I received a welcome drink when I checked in, which made me feel relieved.Drinks and snacks are provided in the room, which is very enjoyable.Dinner will be served at the lovely restaurant "nomi". It's about a 10 minute walk from the accommodation building. With a map in hand that was given to me at check-in, I took a little detour while checking out a fashionable craft beer shop and a vintage clothing store.Drinks were free, so we had a variety of drinks and a course meal. The meal started with a soup made with local Inami's famous taro, followed by a smoked dish made with wood chips used in making Inami carvings, and even the final dessert was delicious. I was just full. It was a wedding gift for my parents, so the whole cake I ordered as an option was delicious.Breakfast can be delivered to your room. My family was able to relax without having to bathe in water when they woke up. It was a luxurious time to enjoy a homemade breakfast. The concierge, restaurant staff, and Mr. Tanaka were all kind and helpful, and their smiles were memorable.I want to go there again.
