Highlights, provided breakfast and dinner were nutritious and tasty.Rooms and bathroom was clean. Our room Tatami mats heated up , not sure if room 312 is on top of heating pipes, but couldn't sleep as room was unbearably hot.Location - it is the furtherest distance from the bus stop about a 30 min trek that looks like steps to Mordor. Don't recommend for 70+ age.Worst- location is right next to volcano, it literally sits in a cloud of sulfur gas. So can't open windows or sit out and enjoy a beer outside at end of the day, smell more deadly than burrito farts. But I'd rather stay here than have not come at all so if everything else is booked, just book it. Mt tateyama is magically place.

I went on the 15th, and it wasn't as cold as I expected, so I ended up wasting my winter clothes and they were heavy😵‍💫

i got rained out from the raichosawa camping ground campsite and decided to head to the raichoso to seek shelter as i wait for the storm to pass. however, the hospitality was absolutely astounding, even if there might not be available accommodation options available for me to book to tide over the storm, the reception staff had no need to tell me “to go back to where i came from”.

We had a very comfortable stay with hotel-like meals and hot springs! Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious and filling, especially the rice. When I asked the people working at the cafeteria, they told me that this rice is grown in a special way.Soaking in the hot spring felt so good that it relieved my fatigue.I will be staying at Raichoso once a year from now on!I will book a private room next year!

The hot springs are so good that I keep coming back here. You can enter anytime until 7am. There are hair dryers, amenities, and good food. Free hot water service available. This is a top-class mountain hut for climbers. However, from a general sightseeing perspective, you need to walk for about 30 minutes along a cobblestone road with ups and downs from the terminal. The room is on the third floor and the bathroom is in the basement (with a view), but there is no elevator in the building, so it may be difficult for elderly people with weak legs. Since it is a mountain hut, there are no air conditioners in the rooms, so the service is different from hotel services at flatland prices.

It is said that it can accommodate 200 people at a time. It's a mountain lodge, but it's almost like a hotel. There is a sulfur spring gushing out right next to it, so the quality of the hot spring water goes without saying. You can enjoy the hot springs while looking at the mountains. And the meal turns out really well. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner is kaiseki! The customer service is also professional. The location with a view of the Tateyama Mountain Range is also the best. The room has a bed and tatami mats, and the bedding is clean. And you can even drink draft beer, and they also make good coffee. It was a good stay.

Hot springs are the best! The food is also okay. Definitely better than the nearby hut.
