I stayed here because I was planning to go to the Tateyama Alpine Route. The shuttle bus and my car were parked there, and the service was excellent.

This is a long-established store located deep in the mountains of Tateyama City, and changed its name to its current name in 2018 (formerly Grand Sunpia Tateyama). This is a popular hotel listed in the book 100 Famous Inns in Japan. Although some parts of the building are showing its age, many areas have been renovated. The first floor is also equipped with large play equipment made entirely of cypress, and has been awarded as a spot for children. The bathhouse is connected to the hotel's exclusive hot spring called Tateyama Awasuno Onsen, which is quite alkaline (pH 9.8). It has a very effective cleansing effect that removes dead skin cells, and when you soak in the hot water, you can feel your skin becoming smooth and warm to the core of your body. We also provide a shuttle bus to Tateyama Station, so we recommend this inn for those going on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.

From Shinano Omachi, we visited Ogisawa, Kurobe Dam, Murodo, and then descended to Tateyama. I didn't have time to go to Unazuki Onsen, so I stayed here. After listening to the explanation at check-in, from then on, I went to my room without any guidance from the host. Futons are already laid out in the room, so you can relax without being disturbed until you check out.The bath is spacious and there is also an open-air bath. It has a Showa-era feel, but the water temperature is just right, and the washing area is equipped with organic shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo, face wash, and cleansing.I ate all the food and was full. Comes with dessert. However, the minus point was that the fried food and tempura were a little lukewarm. After you finish eating, there is a drink bar in the lounge on the second floor, so you can relax there. I liked the hospitality that allowed me to relax freely. The staff at the inn were also nice people, and when I asked them about how to spend the next day, they kindly answered. This is a hotel I would like to stay at again.Although I didn't use it myself, there was a nice indoor play area for children, so I think kids would enjoy it too.

It's my first time staying here, and the reception was great. The lady who was in charge of the meal was also very nice. ♨️ and the food were also great. I would like to come back to ♨️ again.

I stayed for 2 nights in a Japanese-style twin room in the main building. The room was spacious and I had a relaxing time. The food is perfect for breakfast and dinner! The timing of the food being served was perfect ✨✨✨ The bowl of tempura tempura sauce was also warmed up, and I thought they were doing a really careful job with the customers in mind. The staff are always smiling and polite. The two days went by so quickly that I felt a bit lonely when I checked out. As we were leaving, a female staff member waved at us until we could no longer see our car, and I couldn't help but roll down the window and yell, "I'll be back!" in a loud voice. I plan to stay there again sometime this year!

I stayed here as a base before traveling from Tateyama to Ogisawa on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.I chose a plan that included dinner and breakfast, and both meals were luxurious and the service was very good, which I was very grateful for.The location is quite deep in the mountains, so it's difficult to go casually, but it's valuable to have a hotel like this where even one person can stay, so I'd recommend it for that reason as well.

Good hotel, close to Tateyama station and the start of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine route. We had a room with private in-room onsen, which was very good. Food at dinner and breakfast were good too.
