I use it for snowshoeing in Kamikochi. You can also have a shuttle taken to Kama Tunnel and leave your car there. The food is good and the cleaning is thorough.

The location of the pension is perfect for getting to Kamikochi by bus. The host showed impeccable hospitality and let us park our car at the guesthouse for the entire day we were hiking. The decoration of the pension has a comfortable and kitsch side which gives the impression of finding yourself in a Ghibli film!

I was very impressed with the husband's personality and his wife's consideration. It's been 40 years since I last used the pension, but the hospitality was very good and gave me a renewed sense of family-like comfort. This time, my husband and I participated in the winter Kamikochi snow trekking tour on January 22nd, and the following month, on February 25th and 26th, we went on a snow trekking trip to Kappabashi in Kamikochi. It was my first time to participate in a trekking tour with snowshoes, but the price of ¥5,000 for a small group (only 5 people, including the guide, 3 general participants, and the Silufre owner) with a guide was a bargain. It was physically demanding at times to walk on untracked roads with snowshoes that no one else has accessed, but in addition to my husband and I, there was one 80-year-old woman who participated. I was surprised to see such people walking around so easily, even though they said it was their first experience. I realized that I was the only one who didn't get enough exercise. The five of us had a great sense of satisfaction as we were surrounded by nature with 3000m mountains approaching from both sides. The five of us, including Shirufurei's husband, really enjoyed it. At times, we were buried up to our waists in snow, and our guide, Mr. Fukuda, and the owner of Shirufurei explained various things to us and we had a really fun time in the great outdoors. We were transported to Kama Tunnel at 9 a.m. and arrived at the pension at 4 p.m., but we were blessed with fine weather and had a very enjoyable experience. Also, the Shirufurei location is right next to the Sawatari Pass Terminal, so it's very convenient for going to Kamikochi. The meals are well thought out and plentiful. The bath is also fed by the hot spring source, and is spacious enough for a pension. The bottom of the bathtub is made of gravel, and it feels a little hot, which is just right for a tired body.It has a nice feel that is irresistible for bath lovers. The hot spring will warm your cold body and relieve your fatigue. Another unique aspect of this pension is that there are multiple shampoos and treatments available for women in the changing room (same for men), so you can choose the shampoo and conditioner you like. Understand how your husband uses his mind. There seemed to be a Japanese-style room and a Western-style room, and my wife and I were in a Western-style room with twin beds, which was small but very relaxing. We searched for hot springs throughout the year, and at most times we would visit nearly 100 hot springs. The hot springs at this pension are also very satisfying. This pension is an inn that I really recommend. It was a good enough pension to be used by families, couples, groups, and even for anniversaries. I hear that running a pension is difficult these days, but the owner and his wife here really put in the effort to manage the business and have a very good impression of him. I think there are many people who think that they don't use pensions very often, but this is a place where you can fully enjoy the benefits of pensions. I highly recommend it.P.S.The host is the best. ‼ ️👍During this period, it costs ¥8,800 per person for one night and two days.I was surprised that there was a discount if you stayed for consecutive nights. The window booklet is double glazed and warm. A separate electric blanket is included to keep you warm.
