I had missed the bus from Kamikochi to Matsumoto and was without a place to stay, but a taxi driver told me that there was a super cheap place to stay. The lady at the reception is kind and fun. There are many foreigners here, so it feels like a backpacker's inn. It's convenient and close to the bus stop. It was a really fun experience. thank you very much.

I stayed in the Rider House part of this guest house and I really liked it! Very basic but I was comfortable! I wish I could have stayed one extra night but I was trying to out run the rain (on my motorcycle 😸) the owner was super friendly and helpful. I also loved the onsen attached- it was basic but was hot was filed with real hot spring water. The location was great as well- really close to the bus to kamacochi! My only regret is not ordering the food- it looked REALLY good!

I used the bath. It's available 24 hours a day, comes with a towel and shampoo for 500 yen, and the location is good, but even though it's supposed to be a free-flowing bath, the hot water is this dirty.

The lady at the hostel is kind! The first floor is a store, so you can buy alcohol, beer, snacks, and even cup noodles, so there's no need to buy anything.
