This is a mountain hut on the way to Karasawa Carl.I didn't use it, but I was glad I came to take a break while looking at the scenery in front of the mountain hut.

I stopped by for lunch before going to Karasawa. Beyond this point, only mountaineers are allowed to visit, so if you are wearing light equipment, we recommend descending from here.

A beautiful land full of nature. Even though I was staying in a mountain hut, the floor was shiny and the shared room was a nice space for one person with a sense of independence.The impression room is also spacious.The dining room is clean but feels like it hasn't been taken care of.Of course, soap is not allowed in the bathroom, and the washing area is small for only 3 people. However, the quality of the hot water was not bad and it felt good!Check-in is at the entrance, and the face towel you receive has Yokoo Sanso printed on it, making it a memorable experience.

Good place to stay for hiking to Karasawa. The food was delicious and very welcomed after a long 3h walk to get here from the bus terminal. The shared dormitory and common facilities are clean and well maintained. You can keep your backpack here and retrieve it after descending from your hike and that was very helpful.

It's a very cozy place to stay. We made a last-minute appointment and the arrangements were very good. There are hot springs to soak in and a few girls who can speak Chinese to help us. Thank you for your hospitality.It's a great villa. There's a lake in front of it so you can enjoy the maple trees.

Yokoo Villa also requires phone reservations and is not affiliated with any group on the mountain. Beautiful place, prices are relatively cheap

It's a mountain hut, and there's no water, so you can see how precious it is. However, this mountain hut has a bath, although soap and shampoo are not used.

We used it as a mountain hut after traversing Hotaka.After all, there is a beautiful bath with a bathtub.Although I couldn't use shampoo or soap, I was able to wash away the sweat from running all the way through.The inside and outside of the building was well kept and very clean.I was also impressed by the attentiveness and smiles of all the staff at the reception, shop, cafeteria, etc., just like the staff at an inn or hotel.Perhaps because of the number of people I stayed with, there was a wide range of dinner and breakfast times, and there was no need to line up at any time, and there was a system where you could eat from any time to any time, so you had plenty of time.We were able to make reservations over the phone in the morning of the day, and we had a shared room with bunk beds, but the side facing space had curtains, so even those who got up late could take a good rest.There is also a large drying room with space to dry your shoes, and after drying, you can put them in the provided plastic bag and bring them to your bedside with your backpack, which I was very grateful for when I was repacking.

I stayed overnight in a tent the other day, but it was mixed with a campsite, so I would like to separate it into camping and mountain climbing. Basically, I would like you to announce that you will be quiet after 8pm.

On the way back from Mt. Yarigatake to Kamikochi, I stopped by for lunch. I was torn between ramen and kalbi bowl, but I gave in to the sales pitch of 300g of rice and ordered curry rice.This was a big mistake...The taste is 280 yen school cafeteria curry. Is it a large amount? My stomach continued to feel heavy all the way to Kappabashi and I was in the worst condition. My companion was in the same situation.I thought it would be better to eat after getting off the plane a little more.*Of course this is a great facility for a mountain hut.

Excellent stay initially for 1 night but then returned for 1 more after climbing Mt Hoku-otaka. The staff, the service, the food were just outstanding in this very well maintained and comfortable mountain lodge in the heart of the northern Japan alps. If you want to experience the nature and the mountain vibe you want to come to Yokoo Sanso. Fresh, homemade local food and hot onsen are all you need after a long day hiking. The majority of the staff speak some English and even the ones who don’t will try their best to help you. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect place. The camping area is comfortable and spacious. The only pity is that there are too few food items for sale after noon. Otherwise, everything is perfect.

The perfect place to go to Yokoo from Kamikochi and spend the first night when going to Hotaka.And what's more, there's a bath!I appreciate that the guest rooms have curtain partitions for each person's space.The inside of the mountain hut is also very clean and spacious.

I used it when climbing Mt. Okuhotaka.It was very clean and the food was delicious.There are outlets in the common areas and you can use your mobile phone for free.I was able to charge it.The bedroom was comfortable with two bunk beds and two sheets.Toilet paper cannot be flushed, so please use the provided toilet paper.Although it will be put in a box, there will be a smell.It didn't bother me.
