I stayed there because it had high reviews, but the attitude of the soba chef (host?!) was extremely arrogant and the worst. It's a shame because the other staff were nice. The food is okay, and the main dish, the soba noodles, is pretty average. . .I have stayed at many places in Japan, but this inn is so cruel to its customers that I don't want to go there again.

As you can see when you check in, the grounds are much larger than expected, and there is a lot to see within the facility itself. Also, the soba noodles are absolutely delicious, so I recommend you to try it when you come here. The owner's handwritten map in the lobby is very useful for sightseeing, so please take a look around. Visiting wells in the middle of summer is refreshing.

Anyway, the food is extremely delicious. Each dish is very elaborately prepared and all are delicious. The charred namero, soup, sushi, and soba were all excellent dishes. I can't really complain about the food.Regarding the guest room, I stayed there on a hot and humid day in the summer, and the air conditioner in the guest room was not very effective. Even when the temperature is set to 16 degrees and the air volume is set to max (it's like a breeze even at max), the room doesn't get too cold. Even when I returned to my room from the public bath, I was still sweating. There is no air conditioning in the changing area in the public bath or in the corridors of the building. I don't think this can be helped since the hotel is an old private house, but I would like them to do something about the air conditioning in the rooms. The air conditioner may not have worked well in the room I stayed in.The staff's response is very polite and firm. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all.5 stars for the food, but 1 minus star because the air conditioner in the room was not good enough.

I visited on July 16, 2024, and was treated very kindly, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. The hot springs and food were both good. The bed felt a little hard to me. The audio in the room was good and I was able to relax. My room was on the third floor, but I was able to carry my luggage. There is also a parking lot nearby.

I stayed here for the first time in 12 years. This is a hot spring inn with the best cost performance. The handmade 100 percent soba noodles at the end of the hearty meal made with local ingredients is exquisite. Also, considering the total number of rooms, you can take your time in the bath.Considering the rapid increase in the number of inbound tourists in front of Matsumoto Station, we recommend Ryokan Sugimoto, where you can relax and stay alone.

I made a reservation because I wanted to see soba making. I was nervous so I asked him if he would do it or not until that day, but he said unfortunately he had finished it in the morning😢You can use the private bath anytime, so I saw that he would be making soba noodles when he came in. And I decided to have the soba served for dinner🍴I think they said Hokkaido wheat? It's a luxury to be able to see it right in front of you and eat it for dinner. It's irresistible for soba lovers.I want to go again. The hot springs were also good.
