considering it is a mountain hut, it will never be luxury. however, compared to other huts in the area, this was disappointing. The beds are very uncomfortable, dorm area cold. toilets are extremely smelly. no where to really relax, just wooden stools which are not comfortable. fire place was broken. the hut is very hard to book in foreign languages. however, food was decent. staff friendly and speak good english. beautiful views.

This is a popular mountain hut, with Mt. Hotaka and Mt. Yarigatake towering in front of you. It's truly a spectacular view! You can look down on the city from the east side and enjoy the night view. There is a roller curtain in the middle of the 2 tatami room to ensure your personal space. There doesn't seem to be much water available, so 2L of water costs 200 yen and 1L of hot water costs 200 yen. There are only two fans in the drying room, so the drying time is slow. There are free charging locations. There are toilets outdoors and indoors, and the indoor toilet is a bio-toilet, so it can only be used from night to morning. There is a unique smell in front of the bio-toilet.Meals start at 5pm, and you can get refills of rice, miso soup, and tea. It was quite filling and I was satisfied.

Between the huts on the Ginza route is the worst one. Expensive, toilets are incredibly smelly, there isn’t really a common area for socialising. If you can, stay at other huts.

As long as it has that spectacular view, it will continue to be a popular mountain hut. During the autumn holidays this year, there will be 3 people on 2 tatami mats! However, I wish they could do something about the number and quality of toilets (bad smell).

I stayed in a room for 8 people. I climbed the mountain prepared for rain, but it didn't rain. The next morning, the Hotaka Federation was in full view, with a white rainbow and Brocken. However, my smartphone can only be connected to AU, and charging is not smooth. Before 7:00 pm, heavy electric power is only available in front of the front desk. However, charging speeds will vary depending on where you plug in the outlet, USB tap, etc., so please check beforehand. The north common room outlet seemed to be usable only from 7pm until lights out.Toilet 🚻 and

I stayed in a tent from the Mimata trailhead. It is tiring whether you go from Mt. Jonendake or Mt. Chogatake, but especially towards Mt. Jonen, there are many steps in the forest zone that are difficult to climb (descend), and in addition, you must not be careless in the rocky and sandy areas, so it was truly a natural hell. The route towards Mt. Chogatake is less difficult because there are many stairs, but it was a hell of stairs. The view of the entire mountaintop area, including Chogatake Hutte, was simply amazing.Mt. Yarigatake was a little far away, but I could clearly see the Karasawa Karl's Seitengrad mountain trail in front of me.This was my first time staying in a tent, but I can also recommend it to beginners as it gives me the peace of mind that if I wake up in the morning and feel like I can't physically do the normal activities, I can just use the piston.
