It’s a very nice traditional inn with a 24 h onsen. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. The location is quiet with restaurants and convenience stores reachable by food. Totally worth the money.

We are sorry for rating this hotel such a low score, but the experience was truly uncomfortable. Here are our points. First, the staff at the counter was more like a billboard than a passionate person that would at least try to satisfy our needs. Also, a google translator recognizing only Japanese English barely helped our communication. Secondly, the hotel charged each person additional 150 yen per night for onsen tax. The amount of the money was small, though, the feeling was bad because there was no announcement on their website. Third, the basic facilities at this hotel were not sufficient. For example, there were no hair dryer and razor in our room. Last but not least, some old furnitures may induce serious safety problems. The glass on the table broke as I leaned on. Luckily I was not hurt, but those aged things are no doubt dangers that threaten our lives.

There are said to be two parking lots with space for 30 cars, but at first I couldn't find a space that looked like a parking lot in front of the building, so I asked an employee and was told that I could park in front of the building. I think only 4 or 5 cars can be parked in front of the building. On the first floor, there is a corner where you can enjoy free coffee, a large public bath, and a souvenir corner. This time I stayed in a Japanese-style room, and the futon was prepared in advance, so I was able to relax without worrying too much. There is no hair dryer in the room, you can ask the front desk to rent one.The water system has also been renovated, so we didn't have any trouble finding hot water.Breakfast was served at the venue on the 3rd floor, and you could enjoy free refills of rice with dishes that made use of seasonal ingredients. Delicious even for families who don't like the taste! He seemed very satisfied. It's also nice to be able to use the public bath whenever you like 24 hours a day. The staff provided us with polite and warm hospitality, and since the inn only has a small number of rooms, we were able to relax and feel private. If I ever travel to Matsumoto again, I would make it my first choice.

Although it is an old-fashioned inn, it has been renovated and is comfortable. I felt a sense of history in the retro feel and the polite work of the employees. I was told that it has been in business since the Genroku era, so I felt it had some weight to it. I was able to take my time in the bath and was able to relax. thank you very much.

I stayed here when I went to Matsumoto City for business. As everyone has said, the building is a little old, but the inside was well maintained. The room I stayed in was a twin Western-style room that had been renovated. The bed was new and was very comfortable. The smell of the linen didn't bother me at all, and I slept soundly until morning. The bath was also nice with hot water flowing directly from the source. The breakfast was Japanese style, and I was a little surprised at how delicious the coffee that came with it was.
