I used it alone at work. The water area was especially dirty and there were complaints. I took a bath, trying not to look around too much. There is no elevator in the building, so I felt that the structure was not friendly to businessmen since I had to carry a large carry-on case for work.Breakfast was very hearty and healthy. There was no elevator at the nearby station, so I had to carry heavy luggage up the stairs by myself.I don't think it's suitable for people who carry large amounts of luggage for work, people in wheelchairs, or elderly people.

The building is old, and it is a nostalgic inn with a Showa era feel. As someone who was born in the Showa era, I like this type of accommodation, but it is probably not suitable for people who seek cleanliness. However, the food is delicious and the portions are perfect. For people who don't mind old-fashioned things, this is a cozy old-fashioned inn.The location was near Miyota Station, and there were probably no other accommodations, and some people were there for business. I stayed here when I went on a tour of Yo-Ho Brewing's factory. (By the way, the taxi fare from Meijiya Ryokan to the Yahoo factory was about 1,700 yen.)

Definitely out of the beaten path although it's only 3 stations away from the bustling Karuizawa. Authentic food and hospitality. Everything works great and all rooms have en suite. Certainly a pleasure to stay and value for money.
