LONGINGHOUSE 旧軽井沢・諏訪ノ森

I had a most delightful experience there.The hotel is a small walk off the main avenue heading to the Karuizawa station. Surrounded by trees, on a sunny day you'll get a nice breeze with the scent of the trees, and on a rainy day the raindrops will create music for your ears.The hotel has quite a few parking spaces, and also has a nice restaurant and the overall atmosphere was amazing.A combination of a retro interior, but a slight glamping type outside.The check-in was smooth but they don't have an elevator so you'll need to make it up a few stairs.The rooms are beautiful with great amenities (they even had L'Occitan shampoo, conditioner and body wash). You also get bottles of water, nice local coffee, rental umbrellas, safe, and more.They also have a daiyokujo which is large bath that you can reserve for a specific time slot.The room didn't have a swing bar bolt lock so for anyone concerned about security should bring a portable door lock.Check out depends on the site you book through, but I had a late checkout which was till noon.The check-out itself was even smoother than check-in since they have a self checkout system where you just scan your key and return it.I'll definitely be going there again!

I ordered a meat dish, and the taste was in line with what you would expect from a course meal.The amenities were well-equipped, and the open-air bath, though compact, was sufficient for enjoying the atmosphere.
