I have been camping for 1 year. Used in early DecemberAs others have written, the road on the way there and the road to the reception desk were steep and narrow, making it difficult. There is no problem if you are careful.[About the site] It was winter, so it was quiet. I was told that it would be okay to use all three sites if they were vacant, so I was given ample space to use them. I went there by car and used the Snow Peak Entry Pack TT, but I think it would have been scary to get close to the bonfire if I could only use it for one site.Parking was difficult as the road was narrow and trees were growing everywhere. Please be careful if you have a large car.Depending on the site, there are wooden swings and hammocks that I thought children would enjoy. The area wasn't specifically designated, but maybe it was because it was empty? I was allowed to choose my favorite place. When I went there, it was very windy in the morning, so maybe that's why the tent was dry (lol). If there was no wind, there wouldn't be as much sunlight, so it seemed difficult to dry the tent in the morning. . However, there are some areas that are open to the east, so if you carry them there, you might be able to dry them in the morning.[Water supply] Hot water is available 24 hours a day. There were sponges, scrubbers, and detergent, so it wasn't greasy and sticky like at other campsites, which was nice. Although I didn't use it myself, it seemed very convenient to have a shared refrigerator, freezer, shower (I saw someone lending a hairdryer to someone at the campsite), and a washing machine.[Ground] People using aluminum pegs should be careful as there are sometimes hard spots. There are quite a few stones, so a mat is essential.[View] The campground itself is a forest site so you can only see the sky above your head, but there is an observation deck above the reception desk. There is also a bench and you can see the starry sky + sea like in the photo, which is great! There are no particular restrictions on night time, so you can watch the sunrise or enjoy the night sky.[Atmosphere of the staff] He was friendly and I had a good impression of him. I wish all campgrounds were like this.[Firewood] You can choose 7 firewood of your choice for 700 yen. Coniferous and broad-leaved trees were mixed together and I couldn't tell. Since the firewood is thick, use a shared wood splitter to split it. It has a blade facing upwards, and you place a piece of wood there and hit it with a hammer from above (the hammer is also nearby). The hammer is heavy, so it's quite tiring for your arm, but I think it would be the same if you used a machete or an axe. You can fully enjoy chopping wood. It's a little difficult to make it thin, so it might be better to do it yourself. The recent firewood seemed to be damp, so it was more difficult to maintain a fire than at other campgrounds. I wonder if it would have been okay if I had made it as thick as my thumb and used a fire starter...? I think so (I slacked off on chopping wood a bit and it was a bit fat).Open flames should be prohibited.[Toilet] I don't know if it's only for men, but it has a warm toilet seat and a washlet, and the hand washing area in the toilet only has water, but they also have hand soap.[Garbage] They will give you a large bag for free, and you can put everything in it except for bottles, cans, and plastic bottles. It's nice to be able to do it with minimal separation. There was also an ash dump, although it was small. There was no lid, so make sure to properly extinguish the fire before throwing it away.[Nearby facilities] There is a Max Value supermarket, and a large Daiso if you need something urgently. I wanted to buy meat at a butcher shop, but when I went there around 4 o'clock, it was already sold out.I feel like I've seen seafood on the way to Ito and Kawazu, so if I decide to come to this campsite, I'm sure I'll be able to see it somewhere. For sightseeing, Inatori Hosono Highland is nearby. It is a very large plateau, and although the road is narrow, you can drive up to Mt. Misuji.[General review] No matter which way you visit Higashi Izu or Minami Izu, being nearby is a big plus. It's scary if you bring your family tent during a busy season because the bonfire might explode, but other than that, it was the best campsite I've ever been to, so I'd like to consider the time of year and gear when using it! It's good that the price was low.I don't usually write reviews, but the facilities and atmosphere at this campground were great, so I felt like writing one (lol). Thank you very much for your help this time.
