I used it from Kobe. Actually, I had made a reservation for another private lodging, but it was canceled by mistake, and there was no ferry to take me back home, so I was at a loss when I saw a sign for Iejima Guesthouse. As the sun was setting, I asked for help, but luckily the owner came and after I explained the situation, he hurriedly fixed up my room and made it possible for me to stay the night. It was a cold, rainy day in Okinawa in January that made me shiver, but thanks to everyone I was able to avoid camping in the wild. The next day, the ferry was canceled due to the tsunami caused by the eruption in Tonga, so I ended up staying for two days, but they were very kind and helpful. The owner humbly said that he ran a guesthouse as a hobby, but it was truly a hospital, which is the original word for a hotel, offering a cup of warm soup and a comfortable bed to stranger travelers. It was an inn where the spirit was alive. As for this place, it looks like a garage right after you enter the entrance, and it doesn't have any inviting feeling at all, but at night, when the lights come on, it creates a quaint atmosphere. During my stay, it was a strange inn where people from the neighborhood would suddenly gather, and the inn would be filled with laughter and liveliness, and I could feel the owner's popularity.Convenience stores and bus stops are right in front of the property, making it a very convenient location for sightseeing. The rooms have free TV, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. The shared facilities include a free kitchen, cooking utensils, pots, tableware, microwaves, stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, rental bicycles, and the wonderful islanders, etc., so you can live there. Also, this is an important thing for me, but the water pressure in the shower is so strong that I don't have to worry about the poor water flow.We highly recommend it as a memory of your precious travels, or as a way to reconsider your vain and vain city life.*Ie Island was one of the fiercest battlegrounds in Japan, serving as an air base for the Battle of Okinawa. Although I was not able to go to the museum for the purpose of reporting this time, if you request, you can view the valuable historical materials of Ie Island that are held here.
