I've discovered that lasting travel memories are made by the people you meet more than the actual places you visit and sites you see. With this in mind, Nangoku Lodge Booya is a very special place owned and operated by a very special family. Yuika and Atsunori are a wonderful couple who delight in surprising guests with personal touches and creative delights you won't get at a hotel chain. The rooms are spacious: we had a two bedroom apartment with lots of privacy. Breakfasts are delicious and photo worthy. Fur babies Abby and Johnny are rowdy and hilarious, guaranteed to entertain and break the ice when you first arrive (It wasn't easy leaving our own dogs home for 17 days and Abby and Johnny helped ease their absence). We are grateful that our very first visit to Okinawa will be forever framed by our stay at Booya. ありがとう ございます! Arigato gozaimasu!

It's the best pension. The yellow house with a beautiful exterior is a landmark, and the common living space is stylish.Each room has a large living room and unit bath on the first floor, and a large bedroom on the second floor. There was no musty smell that is common in pensions.I would like to thank the nice guy and his young wife for their very courteous service from the first greeting to after checking out. This time we had half board, a barbecue dinner, and a light Western meal in the morning, both of which were very delicious! I was especially excited about the barbecue, as there were more ingredients than I had imagined. I was so happy and wondered if this price was really worth it! You can bring your own drinks, but you can also order them at the hotel. By the way, as of May 2024, one bottle (large bottle) of Orion draft beer costs 660 yen including tax.The BBQ space was luxurious with Indonesian Balinese-style chairs, and to be honest, it was far beyond my imagination. Once you light the charcoal and place the ingredients and seasonings (salt, pepper, sauce), you are free to do the rest. When it's time to finish off your meal with white rice, you can call the owner and his wife by pressing a remote button that acts as a doorbell, so even those who enjoy drinking alcohol and want to eat rice later can enjoy white rice at their own timing.Additionally, the inn is equipped with a large dog run, so you can stay with your dog or other pet. In addition to dogs, we also have several cats at the inn, and I think they are very friendly and will be soothing even for tired people. On the other hand, if you are allergic to dogs or cats, you may want to refrain from staying there.The nearest beach at Kibogaoka is 2-3 minutes by car. It takes about 15 minutes to walk, but it's very beautiful and I highly recommend it. This pension is run by a very conscientious and kind owner and his wife, so we can recommend it to everyone. I also plan to repeat!

Used from 2023.10/31 to 11/2. There aren't many places where you can spend free time with your dog, so we decided to stay here. There is also a dog run and a shower outside the cottage, so you don't have to worry about it no matter how dirty it gets.My son was also very satisfied. There is a marine leisure facility nearby, so I can leave it there for a while, which is convenient for me when I'm traveling alone.The island tofu, extra mozuku, and Orion beer that we had while admiring the night view were amazing! The owner is kind and takes good care of the mosquito coils. The Halloween costume was also great lolSpeaking of greed, do you have a glass in your room where you can pour Orion beer? Or in the fridge? I wish I had. Also, I was disappointed that Izakaya Chinuman was not included in the shuttle service. Other than that, I am very, very satisfied!There are beaches, underwater observation towers, glass-bottom boats, marine leisure activities, and restaurants and convenience stores at the roadside station nearby, so you can have plenty of fun even just in the vicinity. Good value for money.Next time, I would definitely like to stay there with my family.

This is the third repeatI stayed here in March for my Corgi's birthday.A dog run has been built, making the facility even more complete.I was welcomed by the friendly and kind owner and his wife, and they also took great care of my corgi.It's been 4 years since I last visited, but thanks to you, I had a very comfortable time this time as well.The owner's wife's home-cooked breakfast was also delicious.This is the best inn in Okinawa for me.
