Villa WHITE（ヴィラホワイト）

We booked to stay here for 4 nights. We have been looking forward to stay here after we saw the photos. The architecture of this place is impressive. I think the owner drew inspirations from Tadao Ando which we had stayed in before. However, that’s all the admiration of this place goes. This Tadao Ando wannabe has a few flaws that cannot be ignored.First of all, the location of this place is a little eerie. It’s situated next to masses of mausoleum on burial ground. You literally amongst tombstones/ burial plots. Throughout our stay, there was construction inches away from the house (looked like excavation work to build another burial plots right in front of the house). While the architecture idea is there, on closer look, there are some sloppy work you will notice (like hose in the pool that should have been hidden, air conditioner cables sticking out, etc).Interiorly. the place has no closet space at all. While they provide a washer/ dryer, there is no clothes hanging rack or iron. There is also a lack of power point near the living room space. In this day and age where phones / tablets need to be charged for travelers, these are essentials unless you are expecting travelers who prefer to live off their suit cases. You need to consider that those type of travelers would unlikely be willing to pay this price point for accommodation. While the pool seems to be a luxury touch, it is too small to do another with it. It’s really a soaking tub more so than a pool.Finally, my biggest pet peeves with this place is the provision of cheap old towels and bath robes (honestly my rags at home are thicker and better quality then the towels here - see photos to judge for yourself). At this price point, there is no need to be so stingy especially if you are targeting clientele who are accustomed to the likes of Aman or Hoshinoya level of excellence. This just won’t do. That also explains the insufficient hangers provided. I am glad I experienced it to be able to give my honest and justified comments. I doubt I will ever come back.

The view, the sense of openness, the best.

This phenomenal villa shines with pleasing amenities. The modern facility is meticulously maintained, exceptionally clean, and well equipped to be a relaxing, carefree vacation getaway.The heated pool is refreshing (even in the cooler months), and the outdoor hot tub, on the private patio adjacent to the pool, is soothing therapy for the soul. After the sun sets, the nighttime atmosphere enchants with quiet surroundings, twinkling pool and living room illumination, a beautiful view of Sesoko passage and the stars above, and... the waterfall.The kitchen appliances and washing machine for clothes were greatly appreciated. This place lacks nothing. Everything is provided, just as you would expect.We're definitely looking forward to returning to Villa White for another fantastic vacation.

This is a high-quality villa that only those who stay there will understand. The sea view from the pool and open-air bath is spectacular.
