We loved staying here. Probably the best part of our trip to Japan. The island is enchanting and Rey's place fits right in. It is a traditional Japanese house with lots of noises coming from the outside and the inside. Fortunately, Japan is so safe you don't have to be concerned about living in such an open space. The place is tastefuly furnished and it is comfortable. A lot of attention is placed on it being eco friendly. Rey is the sweetest lady. She made us delicious herbal lemon grass tea and left it for us in a thermos. I liked it so much that that night I skipped my usual sake in favor of the tea. She also brought us fruit from her garden. Rey has been very helpful all along. She helped us to organize a really nice hike to beautiful waterfalls. I also got a Thai massage that she booked for me and that was totally worth it. Overall, I can't even describe how happy this place made me. I can't wait to go back because this place is so unique that just being there makes me content. There is not much going on on that side of the island but there is a little supermarket in the port and a couple of good restaurants. If you are looking to be away in nature and have a unique magical experience and rest and hike and read in a hammock, this is a place for you.

I stayed with you for 2 nights and 3 days in July.I left the windows and doors wide open to let the breeze in, and didn't use air conditioning except when I went to sleep.I usually spend a lot of time in air-conditioned rooms, so at first I thought it might be hot, but gradually my body got used to it and it felt like it was returning to its natural state, which was great for me. It was a very comfortable stay. When you sit on the wooden deck, the breeze feels nice and comfortable♪ Do yoga, read a book while swinging in a hammock, and have a relaxing and calm time.We have environmentally friendly dishwashing detergent available in the kitchen. If you wash it with a cotton dish towel, you don't need detergent ◎ Garbage can be composted.I enjoyed staying in a way that was as harmonious as possible with nature ^^There seem to be fewer insects considering the area is open with lights on at night, and I've heard that since there are nature and mountains nearby, they may not be flocking to areas where people live. I did it.The owner, Ray, was attentive and attentive, making me feel at ease, and the gentle and soft atmosphere was very relaxing. This was my first time staying on Iriomote Island, so I booked various tours and enjoyed it.Next time, I would like to visit again to fully enjoy my time at Amayura ^^There were so many books lined up that I wanted to read.Thank you very much for giving me a wonderful experience ^^

When you go to Iriomote Island, stay here! This is a wonderful inn where you will feel safe from the moment you open the Okinawa-style storm door. You can feel the lifestyle that the owner cherishes in this old private house with a sense of history. If you value these keywords: organic, sustainable, yoga, natural farming, this is sure to be your favorite accommodation.Even on days when the weather is bad, this is an inn where you can pick up a book that interests you from the bookshelf and spend time there. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. If you have a car, there is also a supermarket (store) where you can get everything you need in about 5 minutes. The kitchen is carefully used and all the seasonings are carefully selected, so you can cook with peace of mind.Since it's located in a village, this inn is recommended for people who don't have big parties and are trying to live a polite life.

Stayed here for 4 nights. It was the perfect place for me, who loves nature. There were no unnecessary sounds, and the sounds of birds, insects, and trees blowing in the wind were soothing, and I felt a strange feeling of being one with nature. We strongly recommend staying overnight without making any special plans. I hope you will come across some wonderful books and gain a lot of insight. I think you will also be able to realize the blessings you receive from the plants in your garden and think about your own life. I think this is the perfect old private house to spend a relaxing time on Iriomote Island. Thank you very much to Ray and all the staff for your hard work. I am grateful to have met you. thank you very much.

We stayed here for 2 nights in late November. My first trip to Iriomote Island was so fulfilling because I was able to meet the owner of the island inn ``AmaYurA''★Thank you very much. The relaxing air of the island, the starry sky, and the clear blue sea soothed my soul♪ It was very comfortable to spend time swinging in the hammock and reading a book. This time I traveled alone, but next time I would like to stay a little longer and enjoy the charm of the island even more with friends and family. Thank you for meeting me✨

There are no keys in the rooms at all. This facility is not suitable for people who are concerned about crime prevention. There are gaps everywhere. On windy days, the wind blows in and it can be cold in winter. There are mosquitoes 24 hours a day.Geckos roam around at night. They drop droppings everywhere, so wrap what they eat or put it in the fridge. When I opened the door, flies and flies came in and it was difficult because there was no fly swatter. Most seasonings are available. The refrigerator is sized for a single person, so it may be inconvenient if you are staying for a long time.In the bathroom, the bathtub was broken and there was only a shower. It would have been better if there was a chair in the bathroom...

I visited with a friend for 2 nights and 3 days. It is a place filled with the atmosphere of Iriomote, nestled in the quiet Toyohara district, like a scene from a drama. The beach is also nearby, and you can see the starry sky just by going outside at night. The owner, Mr. Ray, is a person who kindly greets you from the time you make a reservation, and even brings you fruit during your stay.He is so full of hospitality that you can't help but say, ``I'll visit you again.'' It's a wonderful inn.

I stayed here for 2 nights from June 16th. Even though it was my first time visiting Iriomote Island, the inn made me feel like I was coming back home. A beautiful beach is also just a short walk away. But it might be nice to just sit in a hammock all day long. Wi-Fi, washing machine, and kitchen facilities were all comfortably equipped, so I could have stayed here for days. I really appreciate the hospitality of the owner, Rei, and the goats and horses on the farm were so cute.
