The air in the room is too bad. This is not the time to say retro.People with asthma, allergies, or rhinitis are not recommended to go there. It's nice that the facilities and atmosphere are retro. I can't help but get some insects so it's still good.Is the room dusty anyway? Mold? odor. The mucous membrane breaks down first. The air conditioner was covered in a bag and couldn't be used, but the heater in the room just blew out cold air covered in dust. No need to useAlso, the quality of the water in the women's bath is strange. Although it's small, the surface is hot, but the bottom is water, so when you stir it, the water is lukewarm. I don't know what it meansIn another review, someone wrote that the men's and women's baths are switched between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, but I was told that it depends on the ratio of men and women among the guests. Please note that this is not always the case. By the way, the large public bath, which is usually the men's bath, is many times larger and warmer than the women's bath. The only good thing was that the food was delicious. The stewed chicken, which is only available in winter, was extremely delicious. Apparently some customers come just for this.I don't have to go anymore.

I used this hotel on a business trip, and it was the worst hotel. The main reason is that there are a lot of insects in the room, and they gather around the lights, and a lot of them fall onto the futon that was spread out underneath.I don't know where the bugs are coming in, but I think they're probably a fairly old air conditioner with a window that lets in air directly without using an outdoor unit, and they're probably getting in through the cracks there. In the end, I couldn't sleep with bugs flying around, so I spent the night in my car.The photos posted looked nice, but they are actually quite old.The locals get by with retro accommodations, but for me, who went on a business trip from Kanto, it was a very run-down hotel. There is also no Wi-Fi environment, so it is better not to choose it as a business trip for businessmen. Is it good for digital detox or a relaxing stay as an elderly couple? In fact, the other guests were like that.

I loved staying here. Its glory days are clearly behind it (as are those of the town), the interior is clean but very dated, and the night I stayed I may have been the only actual guest in the whole hotel. But the atmosphere is not at all therefore depressing. It rather has a charming and nostalgic Showa feel and that quiet dignity of diligent preservation in the face of decline that is typical of the Japanese countryside. While I was here I visited the beautiful historic little wooden church nearby and had dinner in the cosy sushi restaurant next door to the hotel. As I wandered back after dinner there was a thin crescent moon and the sky was full of stars. I finished the day with a midnight bath with the hotel’s large onsen all to myself. I’d highly recommend to anyone who wants a deeper experience of Japan.

The view outside the window along the river. However, in the evening, spiders that eat the insects that gather in the light of the window gather together. Kya. I thought about the food chain and thought that it would be a scene where I could enjoy a meal. The room was very spacious in front of the toilet, but it's best to have a toilet. The hallway is a little scary at night. As others have said, the walls of the room and bathroom are from the Showa era, and this taste is a result of years. There is a small bathtub for women and a large star-shaped bath that is open from 8am to 10am. I like hot water, so I preferred the public bath. It looked like the nursing home was also used during the day, but it was mostly reserved for private use. After taking a bath, you might be sweating, but you might get infected. When it comes to visiting hot springs, it doesn't have enough punch, but if you stay there for some reason, you'll probably end up with the impression that the hot springs weren't bad at all. There is a refrigerator in the room, so you don't have to worry about drinks (price unknown). We only had rice in the evening, but it was a solid feast considering the cost. There was no Wi-Fi.

Accommodation and 2 meals business? 6000 yen level with planOtaki Onsen is an abandoned hot spring resort, and perhaps this is the last stronghold of an inn. A very old inn. There are ruins and other ruins of abandoned hotels in the surrounding area. A dog and a cat are in the lobby. The quality of the hot spring water is excellent. The hot water is of good quality, tasteless, odorless, colorless, and transparent, with a strong mirabilite odor and a rather nondescript character. There is no overflow, but it probably flows straight from the source. The amount of precipitates also gives a sense of history.I was told that meals would be served to my room, but that was different. 3 or 4 side dishes at the cafeteria. Is the price reasonable for the average menu? Local sake tasting set 1000 yen. I had only tried similar Junmai Ginjo cold sake, but Kitashika's was refreshing but rich and delicious. The morning was average, but the pork soup was delicious. The room is old and there are gaps where small insects can get in. This hotel is not suitable for people who don't like that kind of thing.

You can enjoy the retro atmosphere of the Showa era.The bathroom was clean and new, especially around the faucets. The Keroyon tub is also cute. The carpet in the hallway looked like it had been thoroughly vacuumed.Women can use the public bath from 8pm to 10pm.The elevator has a retro feel, and the furniture in the room has a mid-century feel. You can relax and enjoy the view of the river from the window.I wasn't able to meet the Akita dog, Rin, but my cat, Kurumi, is an elusive cat who takes walks and takes naps without worrying about people. The food was delicious both in the morning and in the evening. Kiritanpo hotpot and chicken thigh soup were delicious. All the staff are kind and provide warm customer service. There is a footbath at nearby Yakushi Shrine. It's a nice place that is well managed by the locals.

To be honest, I wonder if I could call it a hotel from a long time ago.I used it for work and only stayed overnight, so I don't know about the meals. Some of the rooms have a musty smell and can get cold unless the stove is turned on.I wasn't that concerned. The public bath was good.Perhaps because the time was good, I had almost the entire place to myself. Finally, due to early checkoutI had to pay the bill immediately after checking in.Thank you for responding despite my selfishness.

It's definitely the Showa era. It's quite old, but the rooms are spacious and the hot springs are hot, but I was able to relax.A room similar to the one we stayed in on a school trip 30 years ago. There's no Wi-Fi and the TV is small. The air conditioner is an old model, but it's working hard.If you prefer a business hotel, don't stay here. This is the best place for people who enjoy this kind of Showa and retro atmosphere. The food was also delicious.Rin-chan, the Akita dog who is the signboard dog.It was cute.
