Maybe it's because the adjacent hot spring is no longer there, or maybe it's because of the high prices, but shower prices are so high that it's almost a rip-off!Moreover, you can only put in 300 yen each.However, there were no money exchange machines, and the reception desk closed at 6pm that day, so I couldn't even take a shower without some change.The site is well maintained, but there were a lot of flies that day.I didn't notice it because of the large number of flies, but it seems there were also black flies, and I was attacked by them all over my feet.It used to be a very highly rated site, but the sudden increase in shower prices has made it less appealing.

Me, Abhi & Bansal San stayed at the site for 2 days. We had never been to Japan camping before and chose this site as a base to explore the region in our summer vacations ⛱️. I really thanks to Yoshino San and Bansal san for this wonderful location! The site proved to be a good base for the silence and bird sound with wonderful views. The facilities were excellent and we had a very relaxing holiday. We would definitely recommend Namahage Auto camping ground.

The hot springs we could walk to were closed, so it became an expensive campsite, and the 300 yen coin showers didn't even have shampoo. I don't think local people from Akita ever go there.

This time I planned my trip to the Namahage Auto Campsite.Maybe because I had booked it to avoid the crowds, I was able to walk freely around the campsite.My hobby is wild bird photography, so I started walking around early in the morning before sunrise to look for wild birds. I had a great trip as I met some unexpected wild birds and was able to take photos of squirrels.I stayed in a cottage, but I have one request.The stairs leading up to the second floor... I thought this was very dangerous because it was a vertical ladder. There were no handrails and there was no anti-slip surface.People who are drunk may slip and fall.I think there is room for improvement.The cottage does not have a bathtub, only a shower.I went to the nearby Oga Kanko Hotel for a day trip to take a bath. The hot spring I was at was not open, it seems like it went bankrupt, which is a shame!

We showed up at 1730 on a Tuesday afternoon. We didn’t make reservations since it was a weekday and we figured it wouldn’t be crowded. At first, the staff kept pointing at the hours sign on the door and telling us they were closed (1700) and we couldn’t stay even though there were only a few people there. We basically begged and he finally changed his mind and allowed us to stay. We are grateful he changed his mind and we really appreciated his help. Thank you so much, and next time we will make sure to call in advance.The campground is a very well maintained and beautiful. They sell basic camping gear, have coin laundry and showers, and also trash bins. Great place to camp.

I understood it for the first time. The weather was nice and it was a pleasant two-day stay. My camper is large. The management was very considerate of me as I am disabled, which was helpful. thank you.
