I used it for camping.I don't usually write things like this, but it was a little harsh.The location is perfect. The facilities are also clean and well-maintained, so there are no complaints here either.Unfortunately, the day after we arrived was the Yurihonjo Outdoor Festival, so there were a lot of pre-nighters, and at night there was loud singing and music using microphones and speakers.To unrelated campers, it's just noise.The next day, people continued to gather, and although it was peaceful at first, it turned into chaos as drones flew directly in front of and above the tents, and radio-controlled cars ran through.I pitched my tent where I was originally instructed, but they told me that this is where canoeing and saps are held every year at this festival, so if I could move it, I would like them to move it. While I was talking about this, I was surrounded by people in canoes, and left the tent without even having breakfast.Even during the evacuation, an old man with his foot caught in the guy rope passed by without saying anything, staring at us.I was really irritated.As I mentioned at the beginning, the location and facilities are great, but perhaps because it's free, the number of visitors is quite low. With the boom gone and the number of campers suddenly decreasing, I was surprised that there are still campers with such low morale. I will never go there again.

A very clean campsite.The Hotai Waterfall is also spectacular.There is a parking lot, kitchen, fire circle, restrooms, etc., but there are no shops, so you will need to prepare accordingly.There are no convenience stores nearby.It's free so it's a trade.It was raining on the day I used it, so it was almost reserved.

I used it on May 3rd. I arrived late and set up the place in a hurry, but the only streetlight I needed was the kitchen, so I needed a lantern. I can barely fit my smartphone. I went in sometimes. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the wide lawn and the famous waterfall. It was a very quiet campsite and everyone had good manners. However, it's still cold, so be sure to prepare for the cold.

The field conditions and location are good, and it's great for playing in the river in the summer.Staff or volunteers were cleaning the toilets and surrounding area from early morning.It's a wonderful place that has been carefully maintained.Users should also be mindful of manners such as taking their trash home and using the water facilities.

Last year we went camping and this time we stayed in the car.The waterfall was amazing and the campsite was well maintained. There are Wi-Fi spots and outlets, so you won't believe it's free, so it's a great campsite for riders and charriders.However, there is no shopping nearby, so be careful... Thank you for your help in the 2023 summer of traveling around Mutsu while camping.I came across this campground because a camper who lives in Akita that I met at a certain campground in Iwate recommended it as a campsite in Akita, so I said, ``Let's go check it out!'' so I came here.It was difficult to access this place, but the location is great! The moment I arrived and saw the waterfall splashing down, I was so moved.The grass at the campsite is kept properly mowed, and the campsite is free and well-maintained, which is a wonderful thing.This time it was a weekday, so I was able to use the site in a leisurely manner without having to worry about the crowds. Even after the silent time, I was able to sleep soundly until morning in the silence.The restrooms and kitchen area are kept clean, so please try not to disturb those who come after you by taking your trash home with you. We stayed here for 2 nights in September. On the first night, most of the people went to bed at 9 o'clock, so we were able to spend the night with only the sound of the river flowing. The second night was quite crowded as there was a festival scheduled for the next day. There were a lot of troublesome campers, playing loud music, walking and smoking even though children were nearby, loud voices echoing until late at night, children running around other people's tents, and the atmosphere on the first night was deceiving. It was like that. One person was heard saying several times out loud, ``If you don't like the noise, just pay and go to a paid campsite.''The most disappointing thing was that among the group of unwanted campers there were people from the festival organizers. Even though there were children in front of us, we came to the tent smoking cigarettes and talked about the festival. I stopped participating in the festival because of my bad manners and left the festival early. It was a very disappointing campsite as it was my favorite campsite.

Hotai Waterfall right in front of the vast lawnA clear stream flowing beside the lawnUsed in May 2021 for solo camp.It was the weekend, but since it was still early in the season, I was the only one setting up a tent, so I was completely solo.This is a free, unsupervised campsite, and no reservations are required.The lawn and parking lot are separated, but if you pitch a tent next to the parking lot, you can camp by car. The campsite has a vast lawn, so feel free to set up wherever you like.I mentioned that reservations are not required, but it's really spacious, so I think it's hard to imagine a situation where the tents are full and you can't camp.The toilets and kitchen were clean.On my cell phone, au had no signal but SoftBank had signal.I looked at the sign and mistakenly thought that bonfires were prohibited, but it appears that open bonfires are prohibited. (From Yurihonjo City Tourism Division official website)It seems that even if you are using a bonfire stand, it is recommended to use a bonfire sheet.If I visit again, I will upload a photo of the signboard.

Chokai.I visited in the summer, and it was very cool, so I couldn't stop talking about the evening parties.Walking around the waterfall early in the morning...It's been a long time since I've seen people carving their names into trees, something that Japanese people hate.It's a shame. The couple probably got excited and carved it together, but it makes them uncomfortable to look at, so please stop.Wouldn't you be angry if your child dug their name into a tree in front of you?Why is that allowed when you're young?🤔It's a mystery.I feel bad for the tree and everyone is pointing and laughing so let's stop (⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎)This is a different topic, but it's a wonderful campsite packed with all the things you want when it comes to camping.The lawn is also wonderful, so let's dispose of garbage 🚯 and strictly prohibit open fires 🔥!
