Kazuno City is located in the northeastern part of Akita Prefecture. Oyu, which is adjacent to Lake Towada, a caldera lake that includes Oirase Stream, is a hot spring resort that has been around since ancient times. Hot springs bubble up from all over the city and are used by residents for their daily needs, making hot springs a part of daily life. There are several public baths and hot spring inns dotted around the city, and this time we stayed at one of them, Hanasai, for one night. It is an old-fashioned hot spring inn, but it was renovated two years ago and the interior was beautiful and I was able to spend a comfortable time there. The hot springs are colorless and transparent, and the quality of the water is soft, warming my body, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs twice, once in the evening and the next morning😊We had two meals, dinner and breakfast, and the meals were very satisfying and made with plenty of local ingredients. I ate so much delicious dinner that I wasn't hungry the next morning, so I went for an early morning walk and enjoyed a morning bath before having breakfast! lolBreakfast was huge starting in the morning, but everything was so delicious that I ended up having a second helping of rice😋Everyone at the hostel was very nice and we had a wonderful time.Thank you so much 🙇

Coincidentally, my husband and I were the only ones staying that day, so it felt luxurious to be able to use the two large public baths as if they were private. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was elaborate and very delicious. The people serving customers were friendly and I was able to hear a lot of local stories. This is an inn I would like to stay at again.

Although there is no open-air bath, the quality of the spring water, customer service, and food were all good.
