We had pumpkin pizza and mushroom clear soup pasta for dinner. We stayed in a cabin on the second floor of the building (the rooms are upstairs and the downstairs is a large space with sofas, TVs, and tables for chatting). The bath is on the first floor, and everyone can soak in the hot springs. After 20 minutes, you can use it again if no one is using it. In the morning, you can have Japanese breakfast freshly made by the landlady, including salted rice balls, miso soup and side dishes. Highly recommended!

Right by Tazawa lake, (not the beach area though) The owers were lovely and really welcoming. There are SUP tours which leave from here. We brought our own kayaks and launched just across the road from there. It was very convenient.Bathtime is in organised slots and you place a magnet on a board to reserve the time you want to have a bath. The bath is like a small hot spring and big enough for a whole family to enjoy together. There was an Alexa? speaker, so you could request songs to listen to.There was a microwave on the second floor. The rooms were pleasant. The steps up to the beds require a little bit of agility though. The owner made me a special request veg. breakfast. Booked in advance. We enjoyed the stay but there were three points that could have been better.1) The beds were ok but you could feel the springs in places.2) The noise from air conditioners. We switched ours off but we could hear the noise of others. If you are affected by a small amount of noise, bring ear plugs JIC3) The onigiri were too salty for me. If you're not keen on salty onigiri, maybe request if they can make non- salty ones. The concept is nice and the owners are lovely, so we had a nice visit

1 night stay for 2 adults on a weekday in August 2024. It was my first time using it.Craft beer and delicious food, the owner's personality, the stylish interior design, the system where families can rent out the bathroom, etc...I can feel the attention to detail and hospitality in every detail, and I can't tell you how many times my companion and I have said, ``This is such a nice place.'' I don't know if you said that.It was a wonderful memory of my trip! I'll come back later!

What a delightful surprise this place is! I was drawn to it by the name, then saw that prices were reasonable and the location looked nice. What I wasn’t expecting was the incredible food and attention to detail in the meals. Everything is explained (in Japanese) helpfully as it is served, even where a lot of it is sourced locally. You can tell it is a labor of love, and it tastes delicious! The overall vibe is great; this couple has been at it for 31 years, and they’ve landed on a rhythm that works. Speaking of rhythm, it was a shame to not be here for a jazz night, but that’s just one reason of many to come back!

The hotel and restaurant bar complex, but we did not see outside guests coming to the restaurant and bar. It has a jazz music style. The owner must like jazz music very much. There seems to be a band performing in the bar. The owner himself plays jazz drums, so there is a lot of fun. There is a great bathhouse for bathing, but it has to be used by all tourists at different times. You can listen to jazz music while bathing in the bathhouse.
